OT: Nice find, although it looks way bigger than the police car, so I doubt it's a horse. Could be some other type of animal though.

There is no picture editing in that regard.

I'd love to see police horse and other horses but this doesn't seem to be the case.

As you can see it looks to big to be a horse.

The op is right, there is definitely a horse there, it is exactly the shape of a horse, more exactly a brown horse with a saddle.

 

I took the picture directly from Rockstar and I enlarged it and applied some sharpening and color filters, follow the red lines and you'll see them as a match for the tail, the head and the body.

It's funny how the cop car is driving exactly in the direction of it... Like R* wanted us to find it.

Not sure if it is a horse though, but I really hope they are in the game, unfortunately they wouldn't have radio to listen to Waylon Jennings while riding them

I know this topic has been discussed to death but it is still so tantalizing. We've still never technically seen any land animals besides dogs I know the previewers have but I mean us as in the "general public." Anyway I won't be disappointed by a lack of horses, though I suppose it'd just be fun to have them in haha. On topic, if it concerns anyone, I'm trying really hard to but really can't make out the alleged "horse" in this screen

yeah i agree. compare the size to the car, horses aint that big. plus the animal is in the distance to the car, so it should be smaller.

 

so i dont think its a horse.

I so want ridable horses

There are no horses in that screenshot just like there are no people because the game at that distance doesn't render them.

 

Try playing IV, go up a tall building and see if you can spot people walking, you can't.

 

So really, no point in trying to look for horses because, even if there were, they wouldn't be in that pic.

As i recall, IV didn't render cars at a distance either... as well as peds. its only when you zoom in or get closer that traffic starts to appear.

 

if that screen has cars then it can render animals as well. so i'm guessing V will render peds/cars and animals for that matter, further away then IV

That is partially true. The game stops rendering moving objects at a certain distance.

However, vehicles are still rendered a lot farther away than peds.

Tha is the case in all 3D GTA's as I remember.

I like the picture in the OP, I hope they have some highways running through some canyons or large mountains in the countryside

 

 

 

And I think it would be dumb for R* not to include horses. All the sh*t's already there from RDR, just copy and paste and you have the coolest game ever. Seriously, horse vs. helicopter blades will just be epic.

 

What better way to explore the wildlife and calm countryside than with a horse? It'd be such a change in pace from driving fast cars through downtown Los Santos
