It really doesn't bother me too much. It may get a bit annoying, but overall I don't think it will be a big deal.

 

Also, Racecar. You you have to bring up mafia 2 in every single post? You don't like it and we all understand that. I don't want to obey the speed limit in a GTA game. If I want to have a police chase they are easy enough to provoke. I liked the realism and grittyness in IV but this is too much.

The thing that annoys me the most about this forum are the people that immediately jump in to defend R*..... because, well, how dare anyone criticise their beloved game developer. To me, its basically the mentality of "whatever R* says, or puts into their game is right, therefore I go guns blazing defending them". A lot of this stuff occurs with rumours that have absolutely no chance of ever eventuating which makes them just look ridiculous.

 

Frankly, traffic rules are stupid and restricting beyond belief. I doubt they will be in. Why would Rockstar change such a core philosophy of the game now, once the series is so established? The whole fact that there is a heated discussion is this forum is a hint that people wouldn't like it to change.

I played GTA SA, VC, and IV with the cleo mod that added traffic rules. I've gotten used to it, so I don't mind it being implemented into V. Adds more to the challenge of being a wheelman during a heist I think.

That's what I mean, now theirs more challenge because you cant just fly through the streets without getting attention. The whole traffic rule addition is what will make it possible to have big chases through the city.

It's called incognito people. Remember, this game isn't going to hold your hand, you are going to have to figure out where to procure items (previous previews and confirmations). This isn't an automatic every red light you run, a cop will chase you, you do have to be seen for someone to register it. Seriously KIDS, because frankly, I bet the majority of you complaining about this are under 25, this could be a very interesting and excellent game concept that could lead to a very deep experience, and a steeper learning curve.

I only bring it up because other people love to suggest stuff from it. "It worked in mafia II" is the thing that they always say, and in fact many people just want GTA V to copy mafia II.

 

So if I'm bringing it up, it's only because other people did before.

 

I do find police chases fun. No, I don't want one to happen every single god damn time I run a red light. I also don't want to have to stop and pay a ticket. I also don't want to drive like a normal person. You want a chase? Minorly graze a cop car. Shoot a gun near a cop. Use the raise wanted level cheat. But I see no reason to put me through this bullsh*t.

There won't be a wanted level for disobeying traffic laws. At least i very much doubt they will ever put that in. It would be irritating. At the very most they would put in a 'fine' system, whereby money would simply be deducted directly from your balance every time you were seen by a cop. But again, i very much doubt that too.

I also doubt that. I mean, I don't think rockstar games is going to take cues from Garbage Truck Simulator 2011.

The issue is that when someone says something counter-Rockstar, all sh*t breaks loose, because of all the people trying to defend Rockstar.
