I will take this as truth until the real confirmation comes, because we aren't always right. We have shot down things in the past that actually DO end up in the game

LOL that's not how it works: If you're unsure of something you take it as false until it's confirmed true. Not the other way around.

So, like guilty until proven innocent? No. Innocent until proven guilty. I will take it as truth until we get the legit answer. I refuse to go around pointing at everything claiming" FALSE! FAKE! Source!?"

Do you not live in a world where jokes exist?

It was in that one preview, and it was in the YELLOW BOX god damn it people!

Also.

"You will receive a one-star wanted level, if you respect the rules of the road;"?

So you're supposed to go around hitting everyone in sight and driving on the wrong side of the road?

well to answer your question: at least my world is full of jokes, don't know about others smile.gif

well its easy to understand that it is only a joke if you are reading through the preview... but since somebody took this sentence out of the complete text, and posted it as a single sentence mixed with the other news, it looses the context...

and since a lot of peolpe corect it with "...if you DON'T obey..." an claim it as a translation mistake, its more harder to see the joke biggrin.gif

but common sense tells, that there will be no traffic rules in any GTA.... NEVER EVER wink.gif

I hope most of the questionable info turns out correct. In regards to the traffic laws: we will probably be able to install police scanners into our cars, which make cops show up on the radar, so you can just avoid them and not get a wanted level. They now have lines of sight, remember. Getting a fine for driving a golf cart outside the course just sounds funny rather than annoying tbh.

Unless there's a NO cops cheat rather than a wanted down one, then no. However, if there's no cheat for no cops, then I'm pissed.

Dude, some of the stuff in the second post has either been confirmed or it pretty obvious it will be in the game. I will take this as truth until the real confirmation comes, because we aren't always right. We have shot down things in the past that actually DO end up in the game

Sure, you keep on believing that being struck by lightning is in the game.

Can't someone email R* via mouthoff or whatever and ask them if that list is legit?

Because it is, not only because a respectable polish magazine confirmed it, also because it's common sense really, why else would they 'advertise' if you ail lightning in various screenshots, like that.

Could be because it just looks nice, but I agree, being struck by lightening sounds like the kind of thing R* would do.

Lightning has been in 2 screenshots, its not exactly common sense to think you can get struck by lightning.

Hope the police aren't a major pain in the a$$ in V. Otherwise, I hope there's a no police cheat too.

Rockstar, I don't have to get V, you know. Harmony of despair is waiting as a trial version on my hard drive to be bought. Slaying demons is much more fun than waiting in traffic, guys.

If this is true, rockstar has lost their way. Sure, I can just not speed and drive normally. Then maybe I can pay taxes, wash dishes, and take out the trash too while we're at it. I could be having fun, but all the bullsh*t of real life has now found it's way into the game and now I would have no reason to play it.

Traffic laws? Really? That sh*t was annoying in mafia II and it isn't going to be fun here. If it really means that much, just use the raise wanted level cheat when you speed past the cops. Or just hit their car. I don't need them to be enforcing f*cking speed limits and car damage laws too. f*ck this feature.

Thats your opinion and i think you are wrong. Your upset that R* hasn't given you EXACLY WHAT YOU WANT. You haven't even played the game and your mouthing it off, what are you 5 or something? you don't deserve to play this game if all you do is complain about it.

I experienced traffic laws in mafia II. I did not find them fun or enjoyable. They were annoying as hell and got in my way all the f*cking time. Driving normally isn't fun because, well, you ever sit in traffic? Does anyone in real life enjoy sitting in traffic? But of course, the cops will be on your ass like a shadow if you don't follow them. It's bullsh*t. This is not fun or enjoyable. I know because I've experienced it. It's nothing but a big pain in the ass.

I hope this rumor is bullsh*t. I really do.

Not necessarily. With the line of sight feature cops will probably show up on the radar. All you have to do is avoid them. Encourages more skillful driving. And besides the addition of fines means you probably wont even get busted for this.

You're a person who takes things in the wrong way. How do we even know if they are using it as a joke. Because the point of GTA is to not follow the rules, therefore that's why they could have said this in a sarcastic way. You need to visualize before you actually jump to conclusions.

However, if they did mean it literally, that is something different. I don't think they will actually do that, therefore its bullsh*t.

I loved that feature in mafia 2. It was kind of thrill trying to get away from them and its not like it was THAT hard. Games are boring if there is no challenge, thats kind of the point of the game... why would you want your success just handed to you on a plate?

You still have the freedom to do so, you'll just be punished in game if you act on that freedom. Just like killing someone.

Well perhaps the fine system is like the bounty system from RDR, where doing minor crimes such as speeding and running red lights amounts a fine, but the cops don't chase you until you commit more serious crimes, that are worthy of one star or more. And about the bridge thing in Mafia II, that's just sloppy design, not something I would expect from R*.

But I'm playing the game to avoid certain punishments. Like traffic fines. Those are something I play games to avoid.

They work in MCLA and NFS games because your car is either nearly unbreakable or armed to the teeth with destructive weaponry. I don't think V is going to have adamantium cars with regenerating nitro, so f*ck traffic laws.

Well, they said that you would get one star for violating traffic laws, which means a chase.

I have to say that I agree with RCL, traffic laws are a terrible idea for GTA. Luckily, this rumor is pretty much baseless. This was mentioned in that 'tour guide' section of that Xbox magazine preview, and the Rockes guy (his post here) in this thread (which is recent source for this rumor that that thread has been made in response to) just repeated that information as it was stated in compilation list for that magazine's preview, verbatim. artificialguy (his post here) said what was actually inside the recent preview. And because that 'jokey' tourist guide section of the previous preview is the only source of this, there is absolutely no reason to believe that it is real.
