Anybody not getting GTA V on release day?

Ideally, I would love to acquire the game on 17 September and lock in that "fresh aura", having it engulf me as I am immersed by Rockstar North's marvel.

 

Rewinding to 2008, after having pre-ordered Grand Theft Auto: IV, it would not be resting in my possession from GameStop until Saturday, 3 May. While I had succumb to profuse exuberance, for that forthcoming Saturday would be dictated by and devoted to Grand Theft Auto: IV, I was plagued by a consequential predicament: the seemingly prolonged wait for that Saturday to finally arrive.

 

Undoubtedly, the forums and YouTube were inundated with a plethora of ripe IV content on release day. Initially, I made an affirmation that I would not expose myself to those joyous gameplay escapades in progress. I subdued my inclination for as long as was feasible. Alas, my valiance proves futile. After conceding to salivating inquisition of what Grand Theft Auto: IV would entail, I collectively spoiled the introduction / first mission, and the driving / police gameplay. Spellbinding it was, but through the exudation of guilt / regret.

 

Therefore, if my journey with Michael should not commence on 17 September, I am definitely going to refrain from all spoilers. The full experience will be preserved.

$100 says I'm poorer than the OP  ()  yet I'm still getting it day 1. Its all about priorities. If you want something enough, you can make a budget to afford it. This year, for Christmas & my birthday combined, I got a total of $50 yet I'm getting the GTAV CE.

I have a full time job, albeit with a really low wage, and the time between now and GTA V's release is enough time for me to make sure I have enough buckshee to cover my preorder without having to forgo too much of my usual vices. So release day for me. It'll be only the second game I buy this year to be honest. Bioshock Infinite being the other one.

I would get these fresh college grads with MBA coming into my office telling me how to run my business. During the job interview!! I told them I need somebody to clean the office and run errands. They look at me like I just called their mother a C$%@. I don't care how much money you spend in school. What or where you learned it. What I care about is common sense.

 

Everywhere I look i see these young little self perceived victims. This attitude needs to stop! Yes video games are fun. sh*t! I've got 600 hours in Battlefield 3. But, I also work for a living. I understand I have to work in order to play. The government isnt your payday. You're parents are not your payday. You are an individual and you can make or break your own success!

Rick, you clearly missed my reply to Deffpony. If you prioritize something enough, you can afford it with a smart budget. Don't try & undermine the value of my wisdom just because I'm under 21. The fact is, a smart budget over time will help you afford not only the things you need, but also some money for your personal wants. Nobody should use financial state as an excuse not to buy V, unless you have it really bad like you live on the street and survive from soup kitchens & old clothing.

im getting the game on release day, not going to the midnight release however. i have to work in the morning. off at 4pm. make my way to the mall and pick up my collectors edition and back home to play the game until its time to go to sleep.

It took me 16 months to get my first proper job after College/University, I was depressed and on the down, I was close to giving up, but I stuck at it, luckily I got found by an agency! I got the job,

 

It wasnt my Ideal but it was a foot in the door, and now 10 months later im about to get my ideal IT role, after being in a non related role,

 

Moral of the story I had to earn my place, no one was going to let me walk into my ideal job on day 1. All in all it would have taken me 16 plus 10 months 26 months to land the right IT job,

And am I the only one around here that's younger than 21 and has a job, money in the bank, and pays for his own gas, insurance, and videogames? Btw, if you guys can't find jobs due to lack of experience, volunteer someplace for a month or two and cite that as experience. Employers love that sh*t. If you're willing to work for free, you're dedicated - that's how they see it.
