You betcha. I will stand in line waiting for the clock to strike zero. Go in the store and hand over my money when a theif grabs me from behind. He stab me in the gut 8 times to make sure I'm gonna die tonight. I will scream in terror and regret leaving the house falling to the floor in slow motion. The thief laughs at my distraught face. He then says thanks for his free GTAV while I weep. The GAME employee becomes angry; he says I've made a mess with my blood and now he has to clean it up. The thief not only takes my GTAV he says he's stealing my GTAFroums account when he gets home. And he will make the 200 milestone post Ive been planning to make. I cry and then my eyes close.

haha I went to skyrim's but didn't love having to wait 45 minutes to get the game. Playing that night was pretty fun though.

Anyways its a weeknight and I have responsibilities the day after, so I wont go at midnight. ill get it the day of.

I pre-ordered my SE from Game in Manchester (Trafford Centre) they said midnight opening will be on but last time I did that the line of people was huge. (its inside the shopping centre so no waiting in the rain).

 

I will just go about 11:30am (before the lunch rush) but after the mornings craziness. Plus store only opens at 10.00 am at Trafford so should be no problems getting it in the day time.

I am deffo going! Well if game decide to do one that is, when I pre ordered the collectors edition the clerk told me they haven't been told if they will do a midnight launch, but I'm 100% they will.

 

The main reason ill be attending is when I went to pick up Gears of War Judgment, I only pre ordered the standard edition but when I saw the steel case edition I said to the manager, I'm spending alot of money today at your store (Gears of war Judgment, Official strategy guide, VIP season pass and 2100 msp) (came to £90+) and I asked if my edition could be upgraded, I was told that the steel tin editions that were in stock were for people that pre ordered the game only and they had none left over, it took three words extra for me to take someone's pre order - "Go on, Please" and the deed was done, he then explained he would have to make up a story for when the guy came in for his pre order.

 

I'm not saying this will happen to my collectors edition for GTA V, but knowing my local store if someone says look here is £50 in your back pocket if you sell me that edition, I know they prob will, and then make up some bull to me. So for security and because of my childish eagerness I will go to midnight launch.

 

As for the people that say they will be too tired, I will wake up very early on the 15th so I'm knackered all day on the 16th, force myself to stay awake until 12 midday on the 16th, sleep like a cow and wake up refreshed and ready to roll by 8pm, then head on down to game for 9-10pm grab my preorder, get home, and play all night/next day.

But going to collect said game a few hours earlier at midnight launch makes you a nerd!? Your obviously a Cool kid! With way to much Swag for GTA V, YOLO and all that.

Besides part of the point of preordering is assuring your game will be there when you decide to go get it. Not having to camp outside a store.

I will probably get it at midnight.. I did for 4, and even though I only played it for a couple hours that night, around that date your excitement level for the game is through the roof, its all part of the fun. I'm sure I'll only play for a couple hours that night, who knows... I'll take the next day off to get more into it.

 

Can anyone answer me this though... Is Gamestop the only retail store that will offer pre-orders of the CE? Last time I got mine from Best Buy, but I haven't seen/heard anything about them getting the CE, only the SE. I want to pre-order my copy soon, I've just held out to go there since Best Buy and Gamestop I figure will be the only chains big enough to have a midnight release, well, maybe Wal-Mart, but I'll avoid that place like the plague if I can help it.

 

Thanks for any help with this... I've searched around, but can't find a solid answer anywhere. All I see is R* Warehouse, and Gamestop for pre-ordering the CE, one of which you can physically go to at midnight.

What a dick move. You think you're entitled to something for free or get someone elses pre order because you're paying a lot of money? Not only something free but something that is there waiting for someone else? Even if you did pay the extra £ then still a dick move because the product was already bought by someone else. The staff member should have told you to f*ck off.
