Unfortunately I will be going. I don't have the patience to wait any longer than I have to. I don't trust enough in the postal service to get it to me on time, either. There's gonna be a sh*tload of folks at my store though, IV was f*cking insane. I just chill in the car hitting my bowl until I don't see anybody walking in and go in and get my sh*t and bounce. No way in hell I'm waiting in line with all those nerds trying to engage me in any number of nerdy ass conversations, that's the worst part of these midnight releases. But I don't sleep at night and I never work on Tuesdays so I'll pull an all nighter with this bitch :-)

Midnight release? f*ck yes. I've made up my mind. My friend who's merely a casual GTA fan is getting GTAV right when his uncle's EB Games receives the shipment (up to 2 weeks early), and he offered me to get V as soon as he does. I rejected, simply because I want to attend the midnight release. If that's not dedication, Idk what is.  happy.gif

that's literally insane mercie_blink.gifmercie_blink.gifmercie_blink.gif

Eh, its something that can't really be explained. Think of it like quickly ascending from a deep depth in the ocean. Once you've gone deep enough, you must ascend slowly or else you can die. Over the last 2 years, I've been waayy too deep in my GTAV hype to get the game early. It will just ruin everything if I get V early. Similar to slowly releasing the pressure in my metaphor, I must slowly get the game by waiting outside my EB Games for 8 hours. I hope that made some sense.

TL;DR - yeah I'm probably insane.

I really enjoy going to midnight releases for games. It's a feeling which is somewhat hard to explain, but it all adds up to the hype of finally getting to play. It's basically the experience of knowing that all the waiting is finally coming to and end, and you will be playing the game in literally a few hours. I'm defo going to this midnight release.

No because I have school that day and I take school more seriously than a game. Even though I'm a diehard fan I can just get it when I come home from school icon14.gif BTW I would go if it was on a friday

There will probably be too many weirdos and douchebags there. Why would I want to stand in a line with those people at midnight? moto_whistle.gif

No, I like sleep.

No, I like sleep.

I've got the ce on preorder I'm just wondering if one of their douchenozzle employees will sell my copy that's what's got me worried since I've already paid the full amount, I'd rightfully bust the employees lip.

Nah, I order 90% of my games online now. But I've been wanting to go to a midnight launch. Last one I went to was for Metal Gear Solid 4, and it was pretty fun.

Maybe.

I work third shift on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights so I will not have to worry about getting to work the next day. A lot of times I still wind up sleeping during the day and stay awake at night and usually on nights I do not have to work I go to the gym around 10 and usually get done around midnight. If I happen to be out and about that night then why not. I usually drive around a bit after my workout anyway. I may go to the gym a little earlier or I may do a quickie work-out. I have never done a midnight release before, but in this case it may be more convenient on me to do one for GTA V.

If I am not out around midnight I probably will wait until Gamestop opens to go pick it up.

No. Too dangerous in my city. I remember the midnight release for Mafia II. Someone got shot in his face (and survived, like a boss). Just imagine GTA V.

Why? I don't want to stand in line til 3 in the morning...knowing myself ill just go to sleep once I get home. Ill just sleep while everyone is at the midnight release and wake up in the morning and go pick up GTAV while all the kids are in school desperately waiting to get out of class.

It depends on my work schedule. If I have to work the morning of the 17th, I'll just get it after I get off work. Otherwise, I'll consider the midnight launch.

Nah, I was gonna but decided to just get it delivered.

I'll have the day free so I'll be starting it with a nice long lie in, leave the house about 7AM and go to the local shops to buy loads of drink and food then go back home and set everything up. Post will be delivered at half 10AM.

Absolutely. I haven't been to a midnight release since the Wii in 2006 (was for my brother for christmas) and haven't been to a midnight release for a game I wanted since 2004 (Well not midnight like 6 pm the night before) for Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. So I never truly waited in line at midnight for a game I wanted. So doing it this time. It has been 9 long years since I waited in line for San Andreas (I ordered GTA IV on Amazon) and I can't wait!!!

There is a thing called: Bounds of reason, and going to a midnight release is something that I consider outside these 'bounds' if you will. But if it's your thing- all power to you.

Midnight launch, i work nights so no problem staying up all night playing. EBG and BB is a 4 min walk from my house, and a pizza place across the street from my house, so I'm set.

No midnight release in my region, but I am glad about it.

When getting the game the next morning I'm way fitter to play more hours in a row

going to pick it up in the morning! The nearest shop for me is in the city and trains don't drive at night so...

Hell yeah. I've been told to get there for at least 10:30 haha. My gf said she wanted to come to laugh at all the geeks! she won't be laughing when her legs start to hurt devil.gif

I have a week off work for it so I don't care if my sleeping pattern gets messed up.

No. Never have. Is it really worth it?

To have the game as soon as it comes out? Of course.

You should bring realistic steak to the midnight launch to get your point across.
