Durden Posted June 5, 2013 Share Posted June 5, 2013 (edited) The activity is simple. Using 1-5 of the ~130 screenshots we have, you are to make a mission or a free-roam adventure. This requires imagination - try to imagine you are playing the game. The geography/characters don't have to make too much sense if you're using the screen to portray the environment. I think that we can have lots of fun with GTAV without actually playing the game. I'll go first with a side mission. Remember, imagine you are playing as you read & view the screens. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A cutscene has just ended of Franklin explaining to Michael that a bunch of Ballas crashed their car into the sea after a drug-deal ambush, and there was rumoured to be half a million dollars in the trunk. The radial menu appears, giving you the choice to play as Franklin or Michael. Once you've chosen, you stand there for several seconds just looking at the lifelike city right before your eyes. Cars are moving, lights are illuminating, waves are pounding the distant beach, pedestrians are walking in all directions and playing volleyball on the beach. The observatory gives such a nice view of the city. You walk away from the telescope going off-screen to pick up a nearby parachute. As your character straps on the parachute, you make a leap off the observatory. You pull the string. Suddenly, your parachute is open and you're clinging it for your life. As you steady yourself, you notice all sorts of things around you - the gleaming water calmly stilling itself with small fish swimming by the surface, the distant roar of 2 ATVs probaly racing, and a deer eating some grass by the bushes. As you land, you tumble forward from the sudden weight of the earth pushing on your feet. As you look around, you notice an isolated boat parked near the dock in the distance. You start walking the 1-kilometer journey along the dirt path, before you hear a Sanchez turning the corner behind you. As he slows down due to your protagonist blocking the path, he yells "Get off the road, you hillbilly!". With one swift motion, you elbow him off his bike and get on. Thank god no police are around - and the hick probably doesn't even have a cell-phone. This Sanchez makes your journey a lot quicker. You approach the boat, but its not long before you notice a fisherman sitting on the docks. He poses a threat if he calls the cops when you steal the boat. Without any hesitation, you push him in. "I can't swim!" he shouts, as you giggle from the cruel irony. You board the boat and start the engine. As you slowly drive away from the docks, you look back only to see the fisherman attempting to doggie-paddle to shore. You worry that this may be a problem, before he suddenly gets sucked into the black ocean by his legs. You see blood. Problem solved. You continue the trip. Here's the spot the Ballas apparently crashed. You stop the boat, turn off the engine, and walk to the back of the boat. You open the hatch, and equip a wet suit within seconds. An accelerated dive gets you deep into the ocean in no time. As you tread through the dark water, you soon hit the bottom. You look around and see a coral reef 20 feet away, lots of minnows swimming around you, and a dolphin approaching you nearby. Only problem, its not a dolphin. As you wonder if its the same beast that devoured the fisherman, you bolt in the opposite direction upwards. Just as you're about to give up, you see a car about 30 feet away. Could this be it? You bust open the trunk, and a silver briefcase gently floats upwards. Did you just score the 500k? You swim to the surface to find out. Thanks for reading. But his mission isn't to take the car, it is to take out its driver. He spots the target. Time to take a ride. After a long pursuit he manages to kill his target, a 300 pounds man named Moe Ron. Unfortunetely for him, a police patrol was behind him. He took of his coat and stole a Sanchez from some stranger. He was fast enough to escape from the cops. Moving up in the world huh. LB: Fo sho my nigga. Yo! here's this dude right there. The Mexican: Hola señor! Espere! Who is this!? LB: Yo that's my homie Franklin. He's cool. The Mexican: Bueno! Hey senor what is your name. Franklin: Franklin Tortuga. The Mexican: HAH! Like turtle eh! So U wanna make dinero eh? Franklin: What's the deal? The Mexican: Hahaa! It's easy! U just gotta get a embalaje from Tijuana. There will be a hombre waiting for U. Franklin: A package? When. The Mexican: Si tomorrow. BUT! U have to go by yourself. LB stays here, comprender?
