A J Posted June 5, 2013 Share Posted June 5, 2013 (edited) BUSTED:Team Escape EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE 9pm GMT on a SUNDAY, 16th June Multiple Teams of 2 attempt to get from the airport car park (Start Point) to the prison (Safe point) via Bohan. The teams consist of two different roles. 1. The Driver 2. The Protector The Driver begins in the airport car park with a car of his own choice (Rancher, Vigero or Feroci) The Protector begins with the driver in the airport, he becomes armed with a pistol and uzi once they reach Bohan. Against them are Terrorists (every other team), armed only with their vehicles, Black Patriots. Who also begin in the airport car park. It's few against many, the odds are stacked. If either The Driver or Protector is killed, it's game over. Ending up in the water it's also game over. The Driver can change vehicles (however not to a boat or a helicopter) If a terrorist gets killed he will spawn back in the airport and will then have access to the annihilators. The winning team is the team that gets to the prison in the quickest time, that said it's not really a competitive event, and it is more about having fun. To help run this event, BRICKTONE - FRANK PANTA has said he will help. He will spawn vehicles for the Driver and Terrorists. He will also teleport the Protector to Bohan, and provide him with the pistol. He may use a barrier to give driver/protector a fair start to begin with (10 seconds) The game settings will be as followed: MODE: Team Death Match TEAMS : 2 vs The Rest WEAPONS: Melee LOCATION : Airport TRAFFIC : Low BLIPS : Near RESPAWN : 1 second AUTOAIM: Disallow, of course. OTHER RULES: Don't enter interiors / Don't swim / Don't Moan about restarting if you flip on the first corner / Don't commit suicide (terrorists) To join this event, you should sign up as a duo. If you have no friends , then I will randomly set up teams of 2, and players will have no choice of roles (will be 100% random). Please leave a message detailing your PSNs, respective roles, and preferred day/time if you want to take part. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask me . Otherwise I'll make the teams, and there might be a situation in which both players refuse to be the 'Protector' or dislike each other! Does everything about the event make sense? Don't worry it's on IV I've added the time of the event as being....9pm GMT / Sunday. I received a message from FRANK PANTA explaining this was his preferred time, and because the event depends on his availability and kindness to help run it, I think it's right to set the time to his preference. If this means some of you are less likely to make it, I'm sorry for that. Let me know. Please spread the word too, and if you have no partner at this time, get one soon! Basically it's 8 teams of 2, 2 players working together, against 14 others. It begins 1 vs 14 in the airport, then it becomes 2 vs 14 once in Bohan, the difficulty of picking up the protector, shouldn't be underestimated, if 14 vehicles are chasing you down....and you have to stop for a pickup (GTA has a habit of taking ages to enter cars at times!) it's not going to be easy, the driver needs to communicate an effective plan with the protector. The protector can't do a rambo and kill all 14 terrorists either, other wise there's going to be a sh*tload of helicopters, and he's more than likely to be killed trying! If both players were 'drivers' it would remove this twist in the event. Remember also the blips are on near, it's possible for the driver to lose the terrorists with some skillful driving, but don't be naive, the terrorists know the protector is in Bohan somewhere, so they will be more than likely aware of were you are going. Just to make one thing clear, Terrorists should only try to kill the Protector once the Driver reaches Bohan, it's not 'BUSTED' if you head straight there on the hunt! Again, if anything is unclear, please say now. The last thing I want to do, is to explain how the game works on the night, and spend most of the time in the dumb PSN chats typing with my controller, I prefer everyone to have their sh*t together and be aware of how the event works. That should give everyone chance to sort them selves into teams, would anyone like to help give this a small trial run this Sunday though? I haven't fully tested the idea yet. A lot depends of brick being able to show, I hope he can. The driver's choice of cars, Feroci - Rancher - Vigero? Would you guys agree these are not too fast / too slow? Guest Posted June 7, 2013 Share Posted June 7, 2013 I'd personally go for the Vigero. The Rancher is too slow for the Patriots, and probably not as strong. I don't remember much of the Feroci but I think it's rather slow around corners. Vigero is a nice, quick muscle car, so I think everyone will go for that. I say replace Feroci with maybe a Chavos or Uranus, and the Rancher with a Huntley Sport? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So the trial tonight at 9pm UK time (Germany 10pm - USA New York 4pm) We will test: The Driver's car choices (Are they too slow or too fast) Blip options, near, far or team? Starting and ending games quickly (not taking 1 hour to finish the game, to start the next i.e score target will be $2500, and it's very unlikely the protector will kill 25 times unless he is rambo or myself , so at the end of tHe round terrorists should let the two kill them, not fk around and turn it into a 15 minute TDM ) Pin point exact location of the starting point (my thoughts were that the Driver starts in the multistorey, the terrorists surround it outside, when the Driver exits the car park, he has 5 seconds to make a break for it) Hope to see atleast 8-16 tonight, random partners and roles. Thanks for your suggestions Lazy, what do you mean by single system? You mean a driver on his own? It's 'team escape', the driver and protector work together, you get a good protector he'll save your ass, you get a good driver he'll be able to shake the terrorists to allow enough time for the pick up! That's at the core of this mode and idea. Or did you mean both start together, and both switch into a separate car spawned Bohan? That would be asking Brick to sort of not take part, and just facilitate the running of the event, not fair. I don't think he can just spawn a car in Bohan, whilst also being a terrorist too, also how do you know where the car will be (no blip for it, unlike a Protector team mate? Unless it's always the same place, and if it is, the terrorists know where to go too. It's not a practical idea.
