I watch films and then people and online reviews criticise it and say its sh*t even though I enjoyed it... Yup, they are just as useless in games. most sites give COD a high score. i just laugh I love me some COD, but I'd have to agree with you. Games like that dont deserve the same score as a Grand Theft Auto. So much more time and work is put into these games. So much more detail. Every COD game is the last game they came out with with new skins. They literally change nothing. Its like comparing a burger at Mcdonalds to a steak at Emerals. Then I go on the forums and see "GTA V was really bad" as the top post, and every reviewing website is giving it a 6/10 and everyone is disappointed. This has happened before with some games, and I really really hope that it does live up to its hype. Doesn't matter if this game is a pile of sh*t it will get 10/10 most places because reviews love to ride R* dick. Those sites that are honest and give the game 8/10 for example will be jumped upon by raging fangirls. Want proof? Most the game media is riding the dick of The Last of Us yet Gamespot gave it 8/10 and the fangirls are acting like someone has just shot there mother going by the comments. I'll be honest I'm more inclined to read a review that is 8/10 than a review that is 10/10 simply because I know the 8/10 review is been honest where as the 10/10 ones just kiss ass. No game is perfect so I ignore 10/10 reviews for the most part. As someone already said, don't be a sheep. There are games I've personally played and enjoyed them so much I'd give them 10. I go online, check out the reviews and see 5 or 6. Then I just laugh and go back to a game because I enjoy it. My opinion of it is positive. And when did GTA disappoint anyway? Don't you accuse me of being a sheep. I'm just saying that my opinion will probably be similar to a lot of reviewers. And you didn't even mention that reviews can give you facts. Some reviews like Adam Sessler's ones are quite good. What I'm saying is A REVIEW IS JUST AN OPINION COMING FROM ANOTHER PERSON. It's nothing more than that. And it may just so happen that person hates the things I like, thus giving something a low score when I enjoy it. I don't think GTA V will have anyone rate it below 9 so I'm more like talking to you in general concerning other games. Reviews are nothing but opinions. Sometimes we agree, sometimes we don't. They do mention ''facts'' about the game. But what are those ''facts''. Fact is IV had a cover system that some reviews and fans said it was bad. I liked it. So there's a ''fact''. Trust me, I know when I agree with a review, even if I haven't played the game yet. If a game is somehow rated a 6 from what looks like an honest review, then I'll go with it. I know it's just an opinion, but if there is a review that lists all the positives and negatives, I'm 100% sure I'll feel similar. If I look at every single review, and all of them give it a 6, and the people here say it didn't live up to it's hype, I'm gonna expect it to be bad. It's logical. I didn't like GTA 4 (I didn't get to finish it, I would if I could) or Skyrim, but all review sites give it a 9.5 average. But the real measure would be gaming time, if they could someone link up GTA V gaming time with the user's comments, we'd know who were talking bullsh*t just to be hipsters about it.
