This looks quite cool actually, if it's really like this..yeah...i'm f*cking with that. People have been a bit concerned about the rectangular map, but this actually looks quite fine to me man. It makes it a lot easier to see what is infront of you, where as the old style maps were face down angles which impeded the view of in front of you. I can't remember the last time they had exclusive stuff. I also hate how they have the we have saw the game so know more about it than anyone attitude. Any suggestion they also claim they have talked about it previously. The trouble is they repeat so much fan made opinions and stuff they are bound to be right at some point. I would love to see the map to be completely wrong just to shut them up. That said they would have already guessed it no doubt. Let's hope the real map is bigger. yes. it looks on par with SA size. no way this is as big as R* told us. and how can a guy say that LS is 1/8 of that map??? wtf?! And I still dont get why people still think it will be 1/8. even if CVG said it will be 1/8 previously, their map clearly shows its 1/3 and thats what thhey said later on too why should they say 1/8 before and make a map with 1/3 scale... "25%" was what came out of their mouths on this episode. That to me seems fair enough. I mean look at what people are figuring out recently.. that GTA IV squashed together only barely spills over Los Santos... so if GTA V is overall 4 times as big as THAT, then f*cking hell thats PLENTY of a map to be having fun in. This is not Saints Row... or Just Cause... this is GTA... this is a big enough map that's packed with detail. There are stupid people who think they want something that they really don't. Dlee13 Posted June 6, 2013 Share Posted June 6, 2013 I LOVE their weekly show even though it makes me more and more anxious for the game this map looks pretty good and I think once we get to actually play the game and explore it won't seem so small! When it comes to the HUD, hopefully when you're moving everything except the map are hidden, then when you're stationary the character selection thing and weapon show up! Interesting that Rockstar mentions the indoor area when describing the size of the map. So I wonder if Rockstar is going to make more indoor area a priority. This could make the city feel more explorable, like for more businesses, malls, skyscrapers... Initially in Game Informer it said we could not buy property, but in new previews it said this would be possible. "Houses, garages and businesses can all be snapped up, providing a useful, additional revenue source that drip-feeds cash over time." You might think 'little city and a lot of nothing' but what it probably is, is a lot of city, a lot of forest, a lot of mountains, a lot of desert and a lot of lake.
