It's DIGITAL CONTENT, it's already on everyones game, just locked out, you're not special or entitled in any way or form because you paid extra for it now This is where I and Rockstar think you are wrong. Rockstar I can understand, it's easy money for them suckering in people to pay for more parts of the game that are already there, but why do YOU think that aside from some senseless loyalty to the company? How does it benefit YOU by having publishers force certain parts of the game behind a pay wall under the guise of "oooh it's a special edition, you're a special person if you own this version" instead of just having the content there for EVERY person who owns the game? After all, all the content is already on the disc. You're basically saying that you like publishers f*cking you. I understand that, it's pure business, and it's a tactic that I find completely pathetic and disgusting, as I've explained multiple times over, it costs NOTHING on the Dev/Publisher side to enable this content, yet they're getting gamers such as yourself with disposable income who "don't mind" to basically pay for what's already there. The only thing different this gen are preorder bonuses and those arnt going away. If you like the game then spend 60 fuggin bucks on it brand new and support the people who made the game and stop bitching. John The Grudge Posted June 7, 2013 Share Posted June 7, 2013 While the price of the Collector's Edition is a disgrace considering it's contents, some of you guys are obviously young and are yet to learn one of the realities of life. That is that people with more money can buy better things than you and you just have to accept it. As long as there are people prepared to pay more, companies will come up with more expensive editions to offer them. Maybe they hold things back for those editions but that's reality and it's the case with almost every product you can buy including food. Why would games be any different? I'm with you. Too many people are expecting the digital content to be entirely exclusive to those who bought the SE/CE. The only way it is exclusive is that you get it earlier than everyone else. Think of it as timed DLC if you will. The only truly exclusive things are the physical items such as the steel book case, map, box, hat and bag. The only way you will get them is if you buy the SE/CE or buy the items from someone who has. All the digital content WILL be made available for EVERYONE at a later date. The only reason Rockstar isn't saying this is because if they do it will stop people buying the SE/CE. Rockstar is a commercial business. They are here to make money. Do you think they actually care about you enough to not sell the digital stuff later? You're sadly mistaken! Rockstar will offer the digital content in the SE/CE and say it is exclusive in vague words then people pay an extra £25-80 for it. Once the rest of the DLC is released they will make available the digital SE/CE content for everyone else which will make them more money. They will later release the COMPLETE edition of the game with ALL DLC in it. Yes, even the SE/CE stuff. When I bought the RDR GOTY edition I got stuff that was only available if you pre ordered the game I think.
