GTAV is like the new batman movies that reached its peak with The Dark Knight. There's no way to go but down. If all the mechanics are solid, they could always give us new locations, characters, stories, and better visuals. They can always top their previous GTA. No one has played GTA V besides R*, how can you go and say it'll top all GTA's made so far? I'm an R fanboy no doubt, but I'm not an idiot either. Also, comparing the Batman series and the GTA series is stupid. The Batman series were MOVIES, every time you put that disk in you'll see the same thing, the GTA series are games, every time you put that disk in you can do a number of things, whatever YOU choose. There's always something R* could do to keep blowing our minds 10 years from now. The death of GTA IMO will come when it has no Houser influence. I'd love a 70's GTA as well. Dunno why but I've allways thougth IV's Liberty City would make a good 70's GTA with some tweaks to the map of course. Or San Fierro in the late 60's to mid 70's. But yeah GTA isn't limited to one time frame which lets them be flexible quite a bit. Triple Vacuum Seal Posted June 5, 2013 Share Posted June 5, 2013 I'm still waiting on a GTA where we play as a teenage to lower 20s street street thug, play a quarter of the story, get locked up, fast forward to the final days of the sentence as a late 30s-aged protag, play some prison missions, then go on with a typical story. When you look at the history of GTA it's only touched a small fraction of tamous criminal time periods and themes. Gameplay ideas would be a tougher challenge to keep fresh, but there are so many combinations R* could use it leaves the door wide open which other games like Just Cause, Saints Row, Mafia, Watchdogs, Sleeping Dogs etc and even Red Dead just simply lack. Then again, there are people who think R* haven't made a city as great as Vice City or story as good as IV since those games came out. It all depends on your personal opinions. But R* can still make a game bigger, better and more complex than V. Really, it's not that hard. Bigger map, more side-missions and activities, empire building system, that's three things from the top of my mind that R* can do in VI, that will make it bigger than V. This is the best they can do on current hardware, the games will have more stuff put in wi more memory and R* generally put the best stuff in. Next gen GTA will be amazing. This works both ways. If GTA IV had everything from SA and the stuff SA doesn't...well SA looks kind of sh*t doesn't it? The thing is that SA is the best GTA ever made and thousands of people are playing nowadays thanks to the PC community and mods, and IV is almost dead compared to SA, because they did make a crap port to PC, many bugs, slow performance, glitches, graphical issues, low features, little map, etc. I don't care about GTA IV being "HD", because it's full of graphic issues which makes it looks worse than GTA : SA (flickering textures, grainy shadows, map appears in your face, etc).
