flyboy7
I believe that V will be the last great GTA ever. I don't think they can out do this one. Passwrd
Until... 4 protaganists! No but I disagree, this will be a great game for the PS3. And when the next GTA comes out for the next generation of consoles, then it will only get better. They will have more room and more power for, well more. Imagine a fully detailed city the size of the whole map of V. I don't mean the size of the city, I mean the whole interior map. Imagine detailed and enter-able buildings, every single building is able to be interacted with. Imagine all the minigames and all the character manipulation you want, all the cars, all the peds, everything. And regardless of all of that, I can guarantee you that the story will be great. Every story in past and future GTA are amazing. Now I'm exaggerating with all of that above, but trust me it'll be better.

GTAV is like the new batman movies that reached its peak with The Dark Knight. There's no way to go but down. That's what everything could have thought about San Andreas... Everyone is making GTA 5 seem so great from speculations. It will be a good game of course, but It's not going to be the everything that everyone wants it to live up to with these crazy expectations. There will always be ways GTA 6 could be better.

waikzguy8998
so if some day they come out with a virtual reality version of GTA in which you have the compete feeling of immersion in the game, etc. you still say V will be the best? O_o

GTAV is like the new batman movies that reached its peak with The Dark Knight. There's no way to go but down. Foolishness. We can't make that comparison to the Dark Knight w/o even playing the game. In fact, we can't even say the Dark Knight will be the last great Batman because that franchise will be around for at least the next 100 years tbh. Now what we can say about V without even playing it, is that it could easily be topped. Two words...next gen. R* can blow V out of the water just by repeating the same features from V + a few newer ones + a JC2 size map (which is very possible next gen) + next gen's graphics. This is all assuming that R* doesn't even expand its creativity along the way. The next GTA will be life changing. R* is on to something historical with this franchise. Honestly Da Vinci type stuff. Eazy 357
I kinda agree in some ways with what OP is saying. Sooner or later the Houser brothers will run short of ideas and won't make amazing stories for ever. For now, we can say they're at the top of their game with GTA IV, Red Dead and Max Payne all having amazing stories to tell. (Especially RDR will be hard to top storywise) Sure a game with Liberty City, Vice City, San Fierro, Las Venturas and Los Santos all in one gigantic HD world sounds awesome, but without a good story behind it the game won't be good. Capricornus
I am pretty sure it will be topped by GTA 6. This game will be excellent, no doubt, but I can assure you that there will be something that was left out of the game that will leave people thinking about how much better the game could have been if said feature was in. As much as I admire the Housers, they aren't irreplaceable. Their style is unique as with all artists, but they are not the most creative leaders to grace the art of storytelling. I wouldn't be surprised if they groom a protege of some sort later in their careers. After all, only so much of the GTA experience is in the story. Out of the hundreds of hours (perhaps more) spent on with this game, only a portion of it is with the actual story. Dick Valor
@Capricornus This. There is no doubt in my mind that V will be the best game ever to date. But just wait until you play the first GTA/Red Dead on PS4/XM1. Your mind will be blown and V will start to feel a bit like SA did after IV. Also don't forget that GTA games don't come out on an yearly basis, we'll see a couple of games from Rockstar before GTA VI. Plus we don't even know how the gaming industry will look in a few years, maybe Rockstar will head to the EA/Activision way... Although I hope not! Gameplay counts alot of course but will it be the same without that Houser touch? Edited June 5, 2013 by Eazy
Algonquin Assassin
The great thing about GTA is it's not necessarily limited to a particular time period or theme. I'd still like a 70s GTA and maybe a 60s GTA. There's always something R* could do to keep blowing our minds 10 years from now. The death of GTA IMO will come when it has no Houser influence.
