I prefer gameplay over graphics but with that said I also like fresh new stories and settings. GTA V is somewhat a fresh new setting and the characters are definitely new and fresh. I'd go with a original tale rather than a trip down memory lane so I'd say GTA V.

It's not the graphics, well kinda. It mostly about the new characters in this new game. It makes it more interesting, instead of playing with a character were quite aware with.

Reason I chose the as is GTA V is just cause I think it will have more to offer, and we already been down the road with those characters that you mentioned from the past. I would have prefered a new city but with all this game is going to offer I don't mind it being in the same city as a previous title.

No, I like innovation. I don't want to take a step back. If i wanted to relive the vibe of the old titles, I could just play them. GTAV as it is for sure.

SA was a very fun GTA game IMO - it comes second place in my book behind IV, though, by a photo-finish. But I thought CJ was a sh*tty character. As I played through SA on PSN a few months back, I realized how childish his personality is, and how much of a pussy he can be. Jesus, just watch the cutscenes with him & Catalina.

 

Btw I just replayed III, and don't you kill Catalina at the end by shooting down the helicopter? How is she in SA? And most importantly, why does she get back with Claude after their huge conflict??

Didn't quite realise how highly people placed graphics. To me a GTA game with Bully graphics and the gameplay said here would be perfect. I can see that people who prefer gameplay are a dying breed lol.

Mate, it's not about the fricken graphics. It's about the innovation of the series. Taking a step back would honestly be a huge letdown in my eyes. I don't WANT to replay as characters I've already played as. I'm not going to play $60 or more on something I have already experienced. It's like CoD, the same thing year after year. GTA isn't that kind of game. It's new and fresh each release.

New location, new characters, new story, all better than the previous iterations, yes please.

Man, I don't think the graphics are really playing a roll in the poll. I think what's doing it is its a fresh GTA, new characters, new types of missions, we've never had a GTA based around these heist like we will have in V. That alone has me excited as hell to play this title. And like everyone else said we get new characters, and three characters into one game unlike in four, if you wanted a different person you had to pop in one of the extra disc if ya didn't do the online role. Plus we get more cars than ever before, more weapons, more customizing options, I think this is all taking into account for the poll.

There's a reason they say you can't go back. Leave nostalgic ties to some of the best games ever as they are. There's no need to try and "re-do" some of our best childhood game memories. You can always go back and play GTA, Vice City, etc. and still have good times. But it's time to move on and welcome V!

I have taken old characters out, I for one would prefer sh*tter graphics if it meant better gameplay. Wouldn't you?

Even so, why would people choose the "bad" graphics version? If it's already possible for Rockstar to make the awesome graphics that GTAV has, and including all the features they've promised, why not? I'm not trying to be greedy, but it's like throwing food out which you didn't finish.

GTA V as is. I want a new city/area to explore. It's literally the best part of a new GTA (why playing LCS, VCS or IV's episodes weren't like playing new GTA's) and Carcer City was in Manhunt. It's been 5 years since IV, and we haven't had anywhere to explore since then, why would I go back to the old maps when I can just load up the classic games and play them whenever I want?
