lol probably haha the only reason or ecleast the main reason why I hated it is because it changed the series from a somewhat series urban crime game to a weird f*cking zombie alien f*cking game it really upsets me.

My friend likes liked SR3 more than IV before I dumped his body he went on vacation. As long as you don't prefer SR to GTA, you won't wake up dead tomorrow get picked on by this forum.

2 is the best. Took all the good things from 1 and expanded it. Loved the series when 1 and 2 were out, then 3 was fun for about 5 minutes.

I hated 2 with a passion, I think it's overrated in my OPINION since it runs terribly both on my PC (which is a high end one) and on my Xbox 360 as well as PS3

 

Saints Row 1 was my first few games on the 360 back in 07 or so and it was a huge blast, and of course I wasn't playing it at 20 FPS

I like SR1 more to be honest. I wish I still had it though. I don't know, but it really did feel like a "real" current gen alternative to GTA before GTA IV was released.

 

SR2 seemed to go off into a different direction. Not necessarily bad, but I liked the tone of the first game and SRTT is the video game equivalent of sitting on the toilet after eating Mexican.

I love both SR1 and 2, so deciding between the two for me is a little tough. I was even playing SR1 today, and I have to agree with Miamivicecity: the game felt like a true GTA alternative, and that's exactly what it was for me in the months leading up to GTA IV's release. I played the sh*t out of it back then! The game also had a good conservative talk radio parody, WMD KBOOM.

 

 

SR2 was also really good. It had a lot more to do than the first, and Stilwater changed in so many ways that even though it was the same city as before, it still felt fresh to go around and explore it. The story did get a bit crazier, but it wasn't anywhere near SR3's level. They kept it all toned down to an enjoyable level for the most part, it had it's over the top action sequences only when it needed to, and it even had its dark moments. Also, the 80s station in the game was a great addition to the soundtrack. Of course, I did miss the whole tone from the first game and the vibe the original Stilwater had.

 

I hear that Volition are going to change Saints Row's tone yet again for number 5 (if they make it to a number 5, that is). I can only hope that they'll go back to something similar to the first two games, instead of something else stupid that I never imagined the series would turn out to be.

SR1 and SR 2 are great games. Sad they took out some great features in 2 that was in 1. But overall I go with SR1.

I quite liked SR3, since it's less like GTA and went in it's own direction.
