GTASAddict
This enticed my interest: http://www.parsemusfoundation.org/vasalgel-home/ VasalgelTM is a long-acting, non-hormonal contraceptive similar to vasectomy but with one significant advantage: it is likely to be more reversible. The procedure is similar to a no-scalpel vasectomy, except a gel is injected into the vas deferens (the tube the sperm swim through), rather than cutting the vas (as is done in vasectomy). The polymer forms a semi-solid plug with a water-permeable structure that blocks sperm — sperm are too big to fit through — but lets fluids through. If a man wishes to restore flow of sperm, whether after months or years, the polymer is flushed out of the vas with another injection. Vasalgel grew out of work ona polymer contraceptive called RISUG®, which is in advanced clinical trials in India; some of the men have been using RISUG® for more than 15 years. But right now, only local men near the study sites in India are eligible for the trials, and formal reversibility studies have only been done in animals, not men. In early 2010, Parsemus Foundation purchased rights to begin studying the RISUG® polymer technology in the U.S. and developing a polymer contraceptive for the rest of the world outside India. Since then a contract manufacturer has been selected to make the polymer to FDA requirements; technology transfer work has been completed; and the 6-month rabbit safety and efficacy study ended March 20 and showed no sperm from the second semen sample onwards! The new polymer contraceptive is called Vasalgel™, and the goal is to have it on the market as an alternative to vasectomy as early as 2015, with the first clinical trial beginning by the end of this year (2013). I'd opt for this without hesitation; can't wait until it's available where I live. But if there's an age prerequisite (and there probably will be), I'll be outraged. lil weasel
If it really works, it'll rot your kidneys or spawn some kind of cancer.
AKalashnikov
With all the other risks these days with unprotected sex you might as well wear a rubber anyway. Unless you have a steady girlfriend/boyfriend you're sure is safe.
GTA_stu
OP are you that guy who's like 20 and wants to get a vasectomy?
gtamann123
I would definitely get it until I'm about 25 because that's the age I want to start having kids at. It's basically like the BC pill for guys.

Ryan
You do realize this is an internet forum dedicated to a video game series, right? Pretty sure some chemical compound that you inject into your dick to stop sperm from coming out is of absolutely no interest to the majority of our prepubescent members here. You don't want sperm to come out, wear a condom.
WhitValid
No Stu that guy was 17 and an idiot. This is the same guy but 19. He ages quickly to be approved for the operation.

Yeah, I don't think the majority of our members even need to worry about getting a girl pregnant.
Tracksuit Hitman
I wouldn't want to take any risks, and there's so many risks that I can think of that would be caused from this type of procedure. If you don't want a kid, wear rubber. aka geobst

Pretty sure some chemical compound that you inject into your dick to stop sperm from coming out is of absolutely no interest to the majority of our prepubescent members here. You don't want sperm to come out, wear a condom. Yes because we all know how reliable those are. With a steady GF for over 1-2 years of sexual activity, a condom could easily break or come off at least a few times. I'm skeptical about these new medicines too. But if it's as reversible as they say, then I smell a double standard where it's okay females in their late teens and early 20s to jump on the BC pill bandwagon, but a male of the same age using this product is seen as being unreasonable. I'm skeptical, but I don't see what's wrong with having a more reliable alternative than the primitive idea of putting a piece of rubber over our dicks. Especially when females have the reliable option of BC pills at their disposal. Then again, I've heard rumors of a BC pill for guys too.
