Kind of hard to answer this, being we really don't know what the customizing will include ya know?

According to official press releases, R* has said it will be on par with MCLA, so that would mean you have a huge amount of customization options at your disposal.

You can see for yourself in the video below:

I want to be able to put decals on my cars. Just basic designs numbers and letters would be fine

I really hope they aren't bluffing on this one. I also hope we finally get complete freedom over the car color. This is one of my favorite features in GTA.

does MC:LA use real cars and logos?

It does, but since GTA doesnt use real cars, we can simply expect that same kind of modding, just on R*s own vehicles.

Car customization is what I'm looking forward to the most. I mean rockstar know's this was one of the top 5 features wanted for Gta V( Or atleast i hope they knew.) So I'm sure it will be on par with MCLA, Hell it might have most to everything that MCLA car customaztion or even new added features that weren't in MCLA. And we know that MCLA team was working on Gta V handling that could have also worked on car customization as well. over 900 people was working on Gta V, i expect this to be an awesome game.

I can get bored of most features. But we can never get tired of hunting down, jacking, customizing, and transporting cars. I agree that this is one of the best features in the series. I hate hearing people call this a useless feature when defending IV. Collecting cars is all I do with GTA sometimes.

I'm positive they went all in with the customization stuff some magazine implied that if you'd over tuned your car it would be unusable so just that tell us we've got a lot to work with CAN'T WAIT

I know I'm really looking foward to this. Hoping its just as in-depth for Jeeps, Pick-ups, Hummers, and other variants. Can't wait to customize a Jeep. I have a Jeep Wrangler and I'm hoping I can get it pretty close to mine but pimped out more than mine. I'm also hoping that vehicles that are meant for off roading and such perform as one would expect. There's alot of areas to go off road and a Jeep would be perfect.

I completely agree. It's just a all around fun leisure activity when you're not doing missions, a cop chase, or committing mass murders.

Ya, you're right, but some people might not see it as hideous. wink.gif I just post that video to show what you can creatively do in MCLA even if it's completely ugly lol.

and when you are, you can even have a car designed for that purpose. I know in the case of the drug war missions, I would keep an armored truck for stick ups and stealthy fast cars for convoy hijackings. I hope R* brings back bulletproof vehicles as well.

I know my getway cars for heists are going to be things like Black Oracles and other high end sports Sedans tuned for good speed, and being low profile. Transporter style.

I also agree that when people call this useless it's stupid IMO, yeah some people may not like it but it adds allot of value to those who do, I'm a car guy, and I enjoy Rockstar's interpetation of real life cars and I'd love to modify them.

I really have high hopes for GTAV’s car modification, if it’s even half of MCLA’s it’ll be great IMO. San Andreas was a good steping stone but wasn't in depth enough but seeing as Rockstar said it's up there with MCLA, it should be mind blowing for an open world game.

I hope the Street races are good as well.

Yeah I was expecting much more than SA in IV in the realm of customization. Then in V, I just hoped R* would restore SA's level customization depth. Now that I see they're going all out with it in V, I can't help but to expect excellence in this one.

Yeah car customization was a missed oprotunity in IV. Especially since we knew someone with a car modification shop in the damn game.

But it does seem as if they are pulling out all the stops with V so like you I expect everything to be pretty stellar.

I loved car customization in MCLA. Though one thing that got me thinking is: Will we be able to customize trucks/minivans etc just as much as some tuner car?

I would think that they would let us since we can customize motorcycles, so we probably can.

All I want to be able to do is recreate these bad boys. And if it's on par with MC:LA I'll be able to do just that. biggrin.gif Well if they do indeed base a car off of the Supra, and I hope the Dukes is customizable in V.

But if it takes away from any other feature I could handle losing some car customization for a better wanted system or something important like that.

First thing imma do is make some cars from Fast & The Furious just like how i did on GTA SA / Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition / NFS Carbon / Underground 1 & 2.

Good times.

I'm hoping they put matte paint in, as well as the ability to change the rim colors. I can't wait to get the Bentley look alike from the first trailer, and completely black that thing out and cruise in the city.

I really hope we get tuner cars to come back from GTA San Andreas like the Uranus, Elegy, Jester, Sultan, Flash and ZR-350 but also may be updated in some way like for instance:

The Uranus could be a 99 Mitsubishi Eclipse

The Elegy could be a 99-02 Nissan Skyline R34 GTR

The Jester could be a 98 Toyota Supra

The Sultan could be a 05-11 Subaru Impreza

The Flash could be a 00-05 Honda Civic Hatchback

The ZR-350 could be a 95-97 Mazda RX-7 FD3S

In the screen shot of the black car in the desert - Michael driving - The paint looks Matt Black to me.

It has no reflections of any kind and it is on a sunny day.
