Cazzer14 Posted June 4, 2013 Share Posted June 4, 2013 (edited) I put this in a related topic, but I thought it'd be seen more if I put it as a topic I'd like to see several different cab drivers, I'd like to see a chatty black cab driver, a grumpy middle aged cab driver, a cab driver with a funny (c'mon, some just are) accent, an aggressive cab driver who can choose to piss off (I assume the 'flip off' button will also be the negative response button) and more. In fact, I'd like to see that feature expanded upon, i.e. you can have a full on conversation with them as you drive, and you can respond positively or negatively. Example on the spot: *Michael enters taxi* Michael: Rockford Hills, please Happy Black Cab Driver: Sure, my man. Damn, you must have a nice pad if you're heading up there Michael (Positive response): Hehe, you've got that right HBCD: Sitting up by yo pool, bonding with the kids, enjoying that 401k you've got? Michael (Positive response): Yeah... you could say that HBCD: sh*ttttt, what you done to get that anyway? Michael (+ response): I... uh... I work in investments HBCD: Oh, you THAT type of rich guy. You get the point, and on the flip side: *Trevor enters taxi* Trevor: Shady Sands, step on it amigo Grumpy Cab Driver: Sure, but would it kill ya to say please, you hillbilly f*ck? Trevor (Negative response): ... What did you just say? GCD: You heard me Trevor (-- Response): You know what? Pull over so I can kick your ass! GCD: Sure thing, you greasy bastard *Trevor proceeds to kick the sh*t out of Grumpy Cab Driver* This would be awesome, IMO. Hopefully this is a feature that will also work in limousines. The chauffeur tries to engage you in conversation & you just press the privacy divider button. Oh god I loved Mohammed, and I was so disappointed when I couldn't call Roman's Cab Depot as Johnny Klebitz after Elizabeta texted him the phone #. I would have loved so see what Mohammed had to say about Johnny! And I recall the 2nd previews saying that pedestrians would each have a different reaction to each protagonist, so I don't see why that couldn't extend to cab drivers. It's a cab which they'll pick up random people waving for cabs, and when they enter the Cab they drive around whilst being asked questions for cash. Exciting right? These options are good, but I think we should start with the Taxi Drivers Ability to drive first? You know? If this happens (and it sounds like an awesome idea) I hope the devs have ten or twenty conversations that are either randomized or looped. The novelty would run out after a few taxi rides with each of the personalities, just like going bowling did, but I think it'd be fun the first few times. The game Driver SF you actual explore people's backgrounds and when you get into chases some people get scared while others help you out by saying were the cops are, ect....
