Some dude named Paul who works for R* and likely has nothing to do with its creative department allegedly stated that Aldenery was part of Liberty City. Not only is Alderney confirmed not be part of LC in the Liberty City Guidebook, but also in the Liberty City Street Map included with GTA IV. The "Liberty City Sights" section under the map is divided by LC's four boroughs (Algonquin, Broker, Dukes, Bohan) and Alderney is listed under "Beyond Liberty City."
