MAN IN THE DARK Posted June 4, 2013 Share Posted June 4, 2013 I just finally understand Niko character in GTA IV. The key element in his performance, is emotions that displayed in his eyes. So much emotions !!! So much pain and all that. Very, very good. Brilliant, Just brilliant. Then I played Lost and Damned and recognise that Johny dosen't have even as close emotions, in his Eyes as Niko does. Maybe it's because the face of the actor was different for the character model. All that Johny character have is one really dump look through entire game. Same goes to Luis. Only Niko have this so fantastically done. So are you going to read Protagongist emotions, by their eyes. Look at the trailer with Michael talking to his therapist. "i really want the other things too" And when they talk about his son "your son, he's a good kid". Crumplet Posted June 4, 2013 Share Posted June 4, 2013 I noticed in the trailer's the facial emotions have been improved by a drastic amount, especially in the scene where Jimmy says "Why do I have to hold your hand through this mid-life crisis bullsh*t?" The look on Michael's face is one of sadness, it's subtle but it's there, and when he's taking the remote control from Tracy, and she storms off saying "I hate you!" the way he looks when he sits down, for a glimpse of a second looks regretful for his actions, then just turns on the TV and has a drink, shrugging it off. I think emotions are going to be displayed in a bigger way this time around, obviously not on the same scale of L.A Noire, but it will certainly be more present than previous titles. I have a feeling this game is overall going to be very emotional, considering the clash of character's and each of their situations, it opens a door for Houser to really create tragedy.
