RoadRunner71
Well, something that has always bugged me is the change of the Chrysler 300M to the 300C. I know the 300C has a refined specs in comparison with the 300M, which failed in suspension (what I've heard) but that body style? It looks like a friggin tank (even if I like the old boxy body american cars). In the last years they have slightly improved it, but I'd stick to the old aerodynamic bodywork style of the 300M. In my opinion, if they would have stuck to the 300m bodywork with the LHS Platform and improved the vehicle specs (and with the time, of course, the lines and details such as the tail lights, which looked sort of cheap in the old 300, though keeping that aerodynamic look), now there would be an amazingly beautiful and modern looking car. 300m 300c What do you think about it? which would you choose? Moth
I prefer the 300C. Never really liked the 300m and its bigger brothers, the Concorde and LHS. I like the clean and sharp lines of the 300C over the typical 90's round shapes. Also, this is damn sexy. Prefer the second gen 300c over the first gen. Ben73
Is this some sort of joke. The 300m looks boring. I never would of bought a C if it still looked like the M. Everyone I know of that has a C likes them because of the look and wouldn't concider one looking like the M even with the better engines and suspensions or whatever. Well, the 1st gen C doesn't look neither very fun, looks like a dull business man car... though like I said they have improved the C in the last years, in my opinion. Raavi
Are you kidding me? 300C hands down. It stands out in traffic (here at least) and it looks quite aggressive. Garfield 2
The 300C has gained a nickname in some EU countries. We call it "The Bunker". The 300M was so unpopular, no one gives a sh*t about it lol.
Ben73
They didn't even bother to bring the 300M to Australia because they knew no one would buy it. I don't think the 300c Looks like a boring businessmans car. Complete opposite actually. Especially compared to the 300M. Looks like the type of car a 50 year old women who doesn't care about cars would buy.
sivispacem
I have no experience of the 300m, but I detest the 300c. If I wanted to buy a 10 year old Mercedes E-class chassis with all the associated build quality issues, I would buy a Mercedes. But i always loved the 300C, specialy the estate version... oh the Dodge magnum is better... oh man dont get me going lol
Sup3rman
Technical side apart, the looks are retroish and show the best things about the well known american design. My neighbour has a black estate version, all the extras also, and nice 20 inch rims. A real gangster car...but i guess gangster isnt far said about him. The 5.7 and the 6.1 are both gems. Probably considerably cheaper to get big power out of and work on than the Merc motors as well. That's the main thing the LX cars ever really had going from them. Though at a time when American cars were in a FWD crisis, they were a breath of fresh air back then.
Moth
Though at a time when American cars were in a FWD crisis They still are in a FWD crisis. Ford doesn't have a RWD sedan(could have brought the falcon over, but nooooooooooooooo), and Chevy just got the SS(stupid name btw and may be slightly too expensive for the masses). That's the main thing the LX cars ever really had going from them. Oh and the fact that they all look better then what Mercedes has built in recent years. Carlover325
300C is so much better, hands down. The 300M is just some boring sedan. The 300C is an aggressive-looking beast that comes available with a hemi V8.

Moth
SS means Supert Sport, you know? Yes, I know. But it's always been a performance package, not a stand alone car. IE Impala SS or Silverado SS, not just SS. The could have brought back the Caprice or the Chevelle or something, but they decided to use a performance package... Personally I don't really care about the name of the car, but for how it is another rebadged aussie car introduced in the American market. In fact I prefer that they call it Chevy SS than Chevelle. Anyway, I read somewhere that if I remember well by 2015 they would be redesigning it from scratch, instead of using another australian model again. Wish Pontiac hadn't disappeared and continue with the production of cars like the Grand Prix, instead of using rebadged foreign cars

They could have brought back the Caprice or the Chevelle or something, but they decided to use a performance package... they did bring back the caprice albeit it may never exist as anything more than a police/severe duty package, and it may just be a re-badged/re-skinned Holden... but it could be bought by non purchasing agents (civilians), and comes with a 6.0L. although i really like GM, i think they dropped the ball big time when they brought back that pile of sh*t they call the camaro... they could have scored big if they revived the chevelle name with an homage to the 1970 SS. but... they would never do that... why would they ever threaten the superiority of their precious corvette. oh and yeah... 300C all the way Edited June 20, 2013 by cold blooded
visionist
300C is bland now, they're everywhere. Couple weeks back I saw a 300M with what appeared to be factory chrome 19s. It stood out. A lot. GM stopped selling the caprice in the us in 1996, this is the first sedan sold in the us with the caprice badge in 17 years.
Ex Hellraiser
I like the 300C. However, it was cool in 2003, when it was brand new. Now, it is simply another car that everyone has seen and owned, and is just another obscure car I pay no more attention to when driving past. The M looks boring as hell. Just another generic ugly American sedan. What I want to know, is how they managed to go from the M to the C in one model year. Who in the design department came up with such a radical, different design, and decided to keep the 300 in the name? They are nothing alike! And on the topic of that new Caprice, I believe they have started to offer it in limited numbers to the civilian market here in the US. I believe I've only seen one or two, but they are out there... gtamann123
I really don't like the 300s at all so I would prefer to have neither. But if i had to choose between the two I would take the 300c. Looks a bit more luxurious than the 300m.

I wish they would've killed Buick instead of Pontiac. edit: quoted wrong guy I saw saw someone mention the new 300c and a lack of V8, both gen 1 and gen 2 have V8/Hemi power. Also, the 300c isn't anything new, it has been around on and off for ages.
