He's f*cking trash. Why is this clown overrated to this extent? How the f*ck did this Odd Future sh*t get shine in the first place? The world needs to end as soon as possible...

The majority of his listeners now are teens that live in the suburbs. I'm not being mean at all, trust me; but when they came out with their first mixtape in the summer about a year or two ago or something everybody was listening to it. But it simmered down once the shock value of their music fell off and many people stopped caring about them. The only people that I personally know that still listen to them are 15-18 year old kids who live in the suburbs. It's crazy.

It really doesn't bother me if there are songs of his or even songs of OF's in the game, and I don't know if it's just because of San Andreas, I just personally want some older rap/rock to cruise around to.

Tyler is actually pretty good though.

Tyler raps about his father leaving him and what he has to think about it, he also raps about he came up.

Listen to Tyler's verse on this song. Raps about positivity.

I don't know why you'd guys think hes bad. I could list off a bunch of more popular dudes that are trash.

Not trying to start a music debate here, and probably a little off-topic, but this guy is just like Tyler but MUCH better and doesn't get nearly as much shine. I compare Tyler to other artists that I like, and he doesn't even come close.

Note: This song is believed to be a Tyler The Creator diss, but it doesn't seem like he's talking sh*t about anyone

Yeah dude I dig Pro Era too, Joey Bada$$ and all them.

I'm just saying that people shouldn't write off Tyler that fast.

For that one guy who said no one who supported Tyler the Creator touched that post.

So music where people rap about the non mainstream stuff (Pussy money & weed) is bad music? Their raps are actually about real things, about life, look at earl sweatshirt (one of them from odd future) his music is the realist, bout how bad his life was etc... there music is actually about real struggles.

Ok, first thing hotshot, did I ever say anything about the lyrical content in the rap I listen to, or what my preferences are? No, I didn't. I said I listen to a lot of everything. Some of it's great, some's tolerable, some of it sucks (most of the time I'm listening to music it's while I'm at work, and it's internet streams). What are your "real struggles?" The subjective things in your life? Cool, go listen to it yourself and don't fault other people for not relating to it.

Here's some excerpts from this lyrical genius (I grabbed the lyrics online, so not guaranteed accurate):

I'm a f*ckin' walkin' paradox, no I'm not

Threesomes with a f*ckin' triceratops, Reptar

I'll crash that f*ckin' airplane that fa**ot nigga B.o.B is in

And stab Bruno Mars in his goddamn esophagus

All I want, f*ck money, diamonds and bitches, don't need 'em

But where the fat ones at? I got somethin' to feed 'em

Oh, man! These things definitely reflect the struggles in my life!

Why is his music stupid crap? Just curious

See above, but I'll be more articulate with you since you don't come off as some pissy teenager. Most of his lyrics seem like randomly strung-together nonsensical pop culture references, aimed at relating to teenagers while also trying to prove he's more badass than the next person. If there's any "message" in his music, it's buried underneath so much of this nonsense that maybe I'm too old and jaded (by the way, I'm 24) to understand it.

For anyone else who wants to war with the people who don't like this kid, deal with it. We don't like his music.

I love how nobody supporting Tyler the Creator touched this post.

I didn't see that post, but thanks for bumping it. wink.gif

Anyways, it's pointless when you take lyrics out of context. You can do this with any rapper. Just name one and I'll break down some of their stupid lyrics.

People get too caught up on lyrical content and they forget that sometimes rapping is about not taking yourself seriously. It's just fun to spit and you don't always need to say something revolutionary. "Yonkers" is one of the worst songs to try to break down for lyrical content, if you're actually trying to take him seriously.

If you knew anything about Tyler, he uses alot of oxymorons in his songs.

Everything he raps about has a meaning, and i never said all of his songs are with meaning. I was talking about Earl Sweatshirt from Odd Future, please quote the whole thing, not just a snippit to make yourself look better than you actually are.

I think we'll see Tyler The Creator in the game as an artist, it makes sense, he's from L.A, he seems to like Rockstar Games from some of the pictures I saw.

Whether he's good or not is up for debate. Personally I don't like him very much, he raps too slow for my interest, I do like a select few of his songs, but people saying he is the best out there ect clearly don't know where to look, they are the same people that just go around saying;

"Herp derp, modern rap is sh*t, I luv 2pac and biggie smallz 4 lyf, and tyler bringing the game back"

I agree to a certain point, but there are soooo many great hip hop artists who are as good, or better than the so-called legends, you just need to look.

People will hate cause he does his own thing and isn't some Gucci Mane, Chief Keef, or Kendrick Lamar style rapper. He tries to produce original content.

Were you trying to group Gucci, Chief and Kendrick as similar or are you just giving different types of rap, because those 3 are nothing alike, well except that Gucci and Chief may very well have brain damage.

Probably gonna be a song from him

Anyways, I have never heard his music, I only saw him on a TV show once and realized he is a total dumbass

I don't care about the song, but I never heard him before so I won't judge yet

EDIT: I heard him on the video above and it is not bad, but not too good anyways. The video is some crazy sh*t though

I am thankful I live in Australia. Where Aussie Hip Hop rules All.. Unless your name is Kerser and you only talk about yourself.

Strangely enough this guy has more talent that who ever the f*ck this guy is will never have.

Tyler isnt mainstream. You have to put Kendrick in the Mainstream category if you are talking about "mainstream". Trust me i love Kendrick, but he is mainstream now.

Did you not notice the "I'm a f*cking walking paradox. Wait no I'm not.." and then continues. He contradicts everything he says after.

I could see a song like Rusty or Assmilk on GTA V. He is a very controversial rapper because not everyone right off the bat understands his songs. It's the same way Eminem first started off, people couldn't handle all that f*cks, bitches, rape, and killing in his lyrics. Same with Tyler. If you look deeper into his music you will find a meaning behind mostly everything.

No but seriously, I'm glad. I really hope it's either Domo23 or Pigs. R* thank you!

I don't know why anyone is complaining, Odd Future is really unique, listen to their sh*t. Listen to Mellowhype also, it's both Left Brain and Hodgy Beats (members of Odd Future).

His best work IMO still came from his first album 'Bastard'

or the Odd Future mixtape:

So I'd prefer if some of his earlier work was in the game.

Please god no. Including Tyler? What are you smoking? 2 Chainz and Tyler are worlds apart, and no he's not mainstream. Tyler is genuine in what he says. He says what he thinks is artistic and spins it into a record but then people don't receive the message correctly. And please keep the wish of that mainstream garbage being in GTA V out. GTA IV did a good job with the hip hop stations (Beat and Classics) and I don't think R* would f*ck this up with including a mainstream "rap" station.

The question is does "mainstream" necessarily means bad ? I think people confuse commercial\politically correct rap with mainstream rap.... People often think "It's on the radio oh that's Bullsh*t...." There is Some good hip-hop on the radio just you just need to find the good station

Well if you're going off of substance mostly mainstream is contained with popping molly's, f*cking women, having tons of money, and overall just winning at life I guess. Kendrick sometimes drifts into there (minus the molly), but with most of his songs there's a message in there. Section.80 is a prime example. There's some songs off of GKMC that have a good message too.

I'm guessing its as mainstream as you say because of the actual video.

Not everyday you see a Rapper eat some Giant Cockroach, Throw Up and Hang Themselves in a video.

Give me a link to your personal favorite of his and I'll give it a listen. Either way, R* isn't stupid when it comes to Songs on there Game. I've found it a perfect tone with every new GTA, IV was a bit of a let down IMO.

f*cking honkey ass suburban kids are all angry because their damn Neil Young-folk rock sh*t and model trains isn't going to be in it. People (honkies) see a rapper and think "yer iz deffanantly gon be a ni**er rappin bout money n gurliez! shhh! now b quiet, weel of fortune iz on! howdyy yyyeeeea!"

very racist.

So what? When it comes to jokes about black and latinos it's always, "HAHAHAHAA! AMERICA! DA USA!" or "hahaha! blasted c*nts! tea and crumpets!!! wheres da dentist? o wait! screw it!"
