GTAV-NEEDS-KRATOS
Why have rockstar decided to go for a blue print map? I agree with it fits perfectly with the heist theme. I still have this strong feeling that im correct about us being able to access buildings from underneath them.
bfett21
Well, the way i see it , this isn't the map that is included with the game itself, but the blueprint map is a special map, that shows locations of moneys, sunken treasures and the like. I dunno why everyone is making the blueprint map to be the end all be all map.
Guest
As you mentioned yourself, it's because of the theme of the game.

StellarFish20
I think the blue print it just a nice little extra to add to the heist feel of the game and to aid those who like to earn 100% in game progress, and I believe it is an exclusive for the Special and Collectors editions : Blueprint MapThis exclusive, additional 21.5” x 26.75” map displays ... I think the game will still come with the standard GTA map that we are all familiar with.
GTAV-NEEDS-KRATOS
I made a post to weeks ago about us being able to access buildings from underneath them. Also that i thought their would be an underground econemy. 10 mins later it was locked. Numerous things now make me believe im right. For exampl blue prints are produced for structural purposes and to get a layout of a building. We also have a sewer system. Ignore the bad grammer. Yeah I think so too, Think it's fold-up in the box with a nice game-art on the backside =) The blue-print will show some 'special' places where you can find/look for stuff you don't find on the normal map
MasterO
because they ran out of the other colours so they had to go with blue. I was really hoping for a redprint

Of course there will be buildings that will be accessible from underground, that is quite obvious. You can go through vents as well, similar to Deus ex: HR. This may also suggest being able to go prone?
staychisey
For someone like me, it doesn't matter either way. I'll just pull up a high quality map on my ipad when I need it. I never ever use the maps included, I think I looked at that Skyrim map once and haven't unfolded it since.

DeadZombie
Does anyone else think the blueprint map only shows a certain amount of the actual map. I'm just considering the way rockstar handles things. I just don't they would throw a piece of the map out like that and they would expect you to think its the real portion of what's ingame and what's just a blueprint. I have never known a company to release the map before the game. Even gamplay comes before that. My beat guess if it is.. its not even a tiny bit of the actual size of the world. MrcTOtheJ
Well it’s a Blue Print because apparently it shows where some things are in the city and surrounding areas, kind of a city planning map that’s showing us more than the normal map, such as certain buildings and businesses where we can make a quick grab and maybe good hiding spots from the cops? I’m assuming there’s two maps because the description said that it was an Additional map. That and it goes with the Theme of course.

But dont you think the streets look to small on the map to pinpoint certain locations. It would be like finding a needle in a haystack once in the game world

From what I see it's mostly main roads. So may it just be inner city. I do agree with it being almost identical with screen shots if I dient see the screen shots themselves. There seems to more sprawl to the north. So this is counting out all the alley ways and side roads. That might go for the rest of the map. Along with there a chance of more main roads leading northwest.

DeadZombie
if its really big then for sure they could add another city? like san francsico or san diego? wont be surpsing if it they add another one. Unfortunately, las venturas and San fierro are not in gta V. But there is going to be alot of rural town areas in the north besides country and desert. Just my idea of course when reviewing the out city areas of LA. "Yep good shout. Im guessing all inner city. You wouldnt blue print the countryside. Even if it is just for special edition purposes" Thank you. I believe it's purpose is meant for key items in the main areas. This map won't point out alot of areas. But the ones that have hidden items or are land marks.
