universetwisters Posted June 3, 2013 Share Posted June 3, 2013 What if we can climb on top of a pole, stand on top of the said pole, and slide down the electrical wire, keeping your balance until you reach the other pole, and then you can climb down the other pole? One of the things I hated in GTA IV was how you couldn't climb those cranes in the middle of the city. You could however take a chopper up there and with some finess, you could land on top of it and use it as an awesome sniping position. Exactly, I love getting on top of buildings, it was a near little trick in L.A Noire, in IV it was a pain in the butt, I always wanted to parkour around, or just to cause mayhem from a rooftop, but I couldn't find any good spots to do it, without getting in and out of a chopper 50 times. Then at the end of EFLC they throw in a clip of a couple of people just parkouring like 20 buildings! Ah if I could have climbed up easier. The other annoying thing was the fire escape ladders, you could sometimes get onto them, but they stopped like 2 metres shy of the roof so you couldn't get up that way either! justgettinridiculous Posted June 4, 2013 Share Posted June 4, 2013 im a lineman... its not all its cracked up to be, especially with energized lines above your head, although they did climb a pole to kill a security system in heat and the game appears to have taken a lot of influence from that game. i think if its in though itll be a cutscene. I hate all that business where you can climb ladder A, but you can't climb ladder B. Those fire escapes in GTA:IV were bloody annoying; they were within reach, yet you couldn't jump, grab onto them and then climb up. The ability to climb drainpipes and other objects might be handy too. It's not like we would be asking for some strange superhuman ability either.
