What if every Rockstar game was leading up to V?

What if all the recent Rockstar games Rockstar made were made to test things before they put them into GTA V? Think about it, the dudes at Rockstar are thinking "lets change sh*t up" and everyone else is like "okay", so they make RDR, which features the weapon wheel, they make the GTA 4 episodes, which feature multiple protagonists, they made Max Payne 3 which had bulletime, etc.

So, do you think all the past GTA games were actually an elaborate test to figure out if a feature would fit in GTA 5?

not really R* also needs money they dont do this sh*t for free so while they may have taken the improvements they made in other games such as RDR & MP3 i'm think they also wanted to make a little more money cus i heard the development of V wasnt cheap

EDIT:hahaha ^ nice

Look man, V isn't R*s last game ever. They will continue making games for years to come, they aren't about to go bankrupt or anything. EA will close before R* do, why would they make whole games with loads of great animations and voice actors and waste all the money just to test out a f*cking weapon wheel, they say GTA V will be their best game yet but every game has been their best game yet.

In 2008 IV was their best game yet, in 2010 it was RDR then it was Max Payne, now it's Vs time in the limelight, soon it will be Agent or Red Dead 2 or Bully 2 and GTA V will just be one of those other games that Rockstar make, then people will make threads like "are all the r games lead up to buly 2?"

No.

All we can say is that they took those improvements from previous games.

YOU DO KNOW THEY ADD STUFF FROM THEIR PREVIOUS GAME.

Manhunt had stealth kills, then SA Got it,SA Had a full rotateable camera, then LCS & VCS Got it...RDR Had Bullet time...MP3 Got it...RDR Had wep wheel, now GTA V is getting that plus Slow mo shooting / Driving from Midnight Club series.

no. Games are expensive to make and GTA isn't all rockstar care about.

I definitely think they put it off to the side to see what they could with their other games. Thus, taking all of their newly obtained knowledge and using it for V.

No. If R* makes a game with a great gameplay element that fits GTA, they might twist it so it isn't the exact same (like bullet time) and put it in V.

What if every Rockstar game was leading up to GTA 6? Ever think of that? GTA 5 is to test them all together. But it's not. They just took elements that they liked from previous games because it would work.

I wouldn't necessarily say that prior games were tests, but I would say that they shed some light on what may be in GTA V.

It's the other way around. R* have taken everything from their previous games, added a sh*t load more, and created the masterpiece which will be coming our way 17th of September.

So Bullettime in MP1 and 2 never happend?

It is obvious that R*'s previous games influenced GTA V, especially RDRedemtion. The way you say it however, it sounds like EFLC, RDR and MP3 were nothing more than testing for GTA V. Which is obviously not the case.

Very profitable elaborate 'tests'.

In a way every new game Rockstar make is leading up to the next one. That's the best thing about Rockstar, they never change things up too drastically, They just constantly improve upon what's working in their games.

I said it plenty of times already, I'm sure GTA IV was the first of RAGE and they weren't thinking about that yet. Although with the results they had overall and the knowledge that they needed to work a lot more, they decided to work with the engine a lot more and learn more about it, get used to it and with all the knowledge they got they found out how to make an incredible GTA V.

They first started by working in L.A. landscape and driving/ tuning cars in Midnight Club L.A. and as you know those who worked in it also worked in GTAV, as a result almost every elements of it are in the game, in RDR they worked the rural landscape, the wastelands, the country, the animals, lots of the animations, the size and used the same scheme of weapons choice, Max Payne 3 was the ultimate test and the last prototype, were they implemented all the enhancements and knowledge they got about how to properly code RAGE, specially for PC, also the gun fight system, guns animations and the bullet time effect.

I don't think that they planned all the games to achieve GTA V, but I think they gathered all the knowledge they got with those experiences to make GTA the best game of the series till today, joining all the elements of every game.
