READ BEFORE VOTING: Could the blueprint map shown in the Special/Collector's Edition Content pages be fake?

Bearing in mind I'm on about the Content pages of the editions by Rockstar, not the leaked map from a couple of days ago.

I know it was officially released by Rockstar, but it could be a smaller, prototype of the finished product, so that when the game released, people wouldn't be complaining about the map, because it would be bigger/better/improved than the one released in the content pages. It would be a great way to stop 12 year-olds saying "ERHH TH MAPP IZ TO SMAL BOOOO".

 

Sorry if this is a bit difficult to understand.

Can't be since the final blueprint map will have the locations of all pickups and stuff. They wouldn't do that and mislead everybody when they're trying to look for said items.

I'd say it's possible but not the case. It seems R* want to release parts of the map as a jig-saw.

I have actually considered this, I feel as though it is certainly a possibility. I think that elements of it may be real, but they may have cut and cropped so they did not give out too much information on the map as it really is. But who knows

I think the fact that it is zoomed out so much makes the city look small but it is probably huge!

It is really obvious he means that the map PICTURE in the CE/SE screenshot is an edited version of the ACTUAL MAP INSIDE THE SE/CE. So with that in mind, "could the blueprint map SHOWN in the pictures of the CE/SE be fake?" not "could the ACTUAL FINAL VERSION of the blueprint map of the CE/SE be fake?". Rockstar could have put a fake/edited map in the CE/SE screenshots as to not release too much of the official final map.

 

Apart from this, I don't think it's an edited version of the final blueprint map of LS.

The map on the blueprint is not the full GTA V map the parts pieced together are edited by Rockstar its very obvious in one section of the map actually. To the northern eastern side of the map there are two objects along the coast that are absolutely identical. Something like that on a GTA map would be a waste of space and lazy.

Yes it will be the real map - same street layout of the city

 

BUT - They have given us a blue print version as a teaser because it cant show to much detail (all shades of colour made up of blue and white - so some areas blend into each other).

Even the scale is not clear as the streets look wider due to this.

 

Streets are not clear, buildings blend into each other, can't tell what's a road or railway line (not 100% anyway), no clear view of different land types (sea, field, desert, hills etc... I know its only the city bit but there are some edges)

 

Where as, the real map will show all this and more.

 

Look at the old original map from SA and the new version they made - the first makes the area look smaller and the new version makes a huge difference.

I don't think it's fake, but R* probably should've used a fake map for those screenshots. It would be funny.
