If you say that you completed the game in 12 hours, then you played 8 missions within 60 minutes. I find this hard to believe, because some missions are quite lengthy; Three Leaf Clover, To Live And Die In Alderney, Hostiule Negotiation - just to name a few. GTAIV's story took me 3 months. 123robot Posted June 4, 2013 Share Posted June 4, 2013 I don't know the precise hours really. My first playthrough took about two weeks, my most recent probably took longer, I'm not sure. Like Dollarhide though, I don't really like to rush (still haven't done that achievement but I vow to do it someday), so I don't have any ridiculously fast times. I played the story much at first however, about half way through the story I discovered freemode MP and was hooked; took a break from the story and played online for 2-3 months and then finished the story. the break was good... when I started playing the story again it was truly the coolest, baddest game I'd ever played. Continuously it took me probably around 30-40 hours because I didn't play right through the story either, I did lots of exploring, especially after I first got to Algonquin.
