If Agent is canned I still want to see Rockstar turn their hand to an Espionage game, maybe set in the 70's, think it would be awesome.

I'd also like to see them try something in the ancient Japan era coz R* always nail the settings and vibes they put into games. Think Tenchu but with Rockstars magic!

 

Sequel wise...bully, red dead, warriors...yes yes and yes.

Red Dead would work too but the game had a lot of flaws and a sh*tty story. Hopefully after V is out we can then tell if it would be up to a good standard for them to do another one.

 

I want all that sluggish animation sh*te ironed the f*ck out before that.

RDR...sh*tty story?!?

Yeah it was boring as hell, very dull and there werent very many differences in the mission types, and there were way too many missions that were for the sake of tutorials, even 20+ hours into the game.

 

I have 1100/1100 all acheivements and free dlc done, spent hours on it and the only thing I enjoyed was the MP free roam. The whole singleplayer portion was a giant wankstain.

Rockstar San Diego is currently developing a next-gen open world game, presumably a new Red Dead (Revolution). Rockstar Toronto, which merged lately with Rockstar Vancouver (they're now both called simply Rockstar Toronto), is hiring new people for a next-gen "large scale" title. Could Rockstar North hand over their Agent to Rockstar Toronto? Probability.

I think that would be Bully 2 instead of AGENT.

 

They really need to get AGENT out first though, it's been a while.

 

I actually think it's AGENT that will be released in Fall 2014 for PS4 as we all know Bully series is another open-world game by Rockstar Games. Doubt they want to release another open-world that quick when GTA V will be releasing this year.

We're all entitled to an opinion but to say RDR story is sh*tty is being harsh in the extreme. I figure you just didn't dig the setting. Other than TLOU I think RDR story is the best this gen. It wasn't just the main story it was the little subplots that made it good too. Like Seth's grave robbing, or the Mexican revolution etc etc. Nothing sh*tty about it. Especially for fans of spaghetti westerns.

 

Has for u maxing it with 1100/1100 cheevo score...well mine is 1120 and i'm nowhere near maxing it. I think it's around 1600 to max. I got 58 of a ridiculous 95 achievements.

You know it might have changed after all these years of silence? It could be now linear and probably set in a different decade than the 70s and be a multi-platform title.

 

OT: Agent obviously is not dead yet but I wouldn't be surprised either if we don't hear of this game anytime soon after GTA V. So probably it will be an another game.. like the next Red Dead - or even Bully though it's more unlikely somehow.

 

Also I really want a totally new game/franchise (besides Agent) from them. Maybe something sci-fi related or pirate-themed.

GTA SA stories on the PS Vita running on the good, old Renderware engine and GTA VI primarily set in VC but includes the maps of SA and IV - hence, with the latter having its own countryside to accompany it.

 

GTA SA stories wasn't made on the PSP 'cause of hardware limitations, I think.

 

Imagine playing GTA VI having primarily set in VC w/ its own Swampy/Lush countryiside and revisiting Liberty State once more with more areas around it.

I picked Other though. Because I just cannot wait to see Rage in an open world on PS4 and XB1... So Red dead sequel/prequel, GTA, Bully, new Open world ip, etc. The idea of these will keep me hyped for anything open world that R* produces for Next Gen.

Wasn't Manhunt 2 water down cause of the rating? So if they made a Manhunt 3 they really couldn't do the whole Manhunt with the Rage Engine. Too many people will complain.

 

All I want is another Red Dead, GTA, and PS exclusive Agent.

I chose new game because I want a game that isn't entirely new, but it would be new to R* and most gamers. There was a game series called Destroy All Humans where you played as an alien, cryptosporidium 137 who is from a race of life called the Furons. Crypto was a cloned alien whose mission was to go to earth and collect pure furonian DNA from humans with his partner in crime Orthopox. Sadly, the later games in the series were bad and were on occasion canned. It was made by a company called Pandemic Studios ( Australia ) and they were eventually disbanded somehow. Then a few years later the parent company of Pandemic Studios, also known as THQ went bankrupt and the rights were sold to a company called Nordic games. What I would like R* to do if they were to ever purchase the series is to port an HD remake of the original games to PC and the upcoming next-gen consoles and also make new games that follow the lore of the series. It was a great game series with much potential, which I believe in the right hands could wind up being a huge hit if it had the right leadership. Also, I wouldn't mind if Bethesda or the company that made the mafia series were to try their hands at it.

R* has the money and attention to detail necessary to scramble together a decent racing franchise. They should just go the driving simulator route instead of the arcade street-racing type of game.

 

There is also a massive market for a police 3PS sandbox/action/adventure game. The True Crime series fizzled off into the Sleeping Dogs franchise. True Crime streets of LA was very memorable.

 

I would like to see Red Dead and Bully comeback though. If Bully took on a private college setting, then R* can get away with letting the protagonist committing bigger offenses. It would then just turn into GTA though. Red Dead seems like the only R* game that I can confidently designate as "here to stay" for the next decade other than GTA.
