Red Dead, hands down. After GTA it's Rockstar's best franchise.

Red Dead wouldn't really be a Rockstar franchise, it'd be a single title.

Red Dead is a franchise, a series. Red Dead Revolver, Read Dead Redemption, and perhaps some Red Dead Rebellion? biggrin.gif

They should make sequels of their open-world games. They're the open world masters.

I also like to see a futuristic open world game, or pirate open-world.

It'd be interesting to see if they attempt a horror title.

Rockstar ABSOLUTELY should attempt this. It's very rare to see any plausible, scary horror game these days. The genre is one of the least exploited in the whole industry. I can't even recall when was the time I played a game that actually scared me. Must have been at least ten years now!

Rockstar, DO IT!

Manhunt is already a horror title.

Anyway, a Red Dead prequel, Bully sequel and a new Manhunt are the ones I look foward to.

I was going to say that, but Manhunt is really falls more within the "slasher", "stealth", and "survival" genres. However, the games do have a few scary moments, but those scares aren't on the same level as the likes of Dead Space or F.E.A.R. (before both of them became more of action titles rather than horror titles that is).

@hobointheyard: Red Dead Redemption is the second game in the Red Dead series, and the first one (Red Dead Revolver) was developed by R*. So, it is a R* franchise. Unless you believe "franchise" means something different? . . .

A next gen Midnight Club in a big detailed map featuring multiple cities is what I wish the most for. And I think there is room in the gaming market really soon for this game, as GrandTurismo, Forza and NFS are all going in the simulator category to an extent. Plus i'm not sure but I think these games all get out in 2013 right?

We really need a good open world racing game. with a lot of cars, something Midnight Club L.A lacked in my opinion.

Rumored next gen R* games I look forward to from most to least:

1. GTA VII

2. GTA VI

3. Red Dead... Retribution?

4. Agent

5. Bully 2

GTA VI fine but you can't talk about VII, It could probably be the gen after too, GTA VI would probably release in another 5 years and VII and another five by which the next-gen consoles would already be released.

I don't think Manhunt is a horror title, the game is filled with more violence not horror, I'm talking about games like Slient Hill and Resident Evil.

EDIT: sh*t accidental double post, sorry. blush.gif

Resident Evil has always been a terrible excuse for a horror game, that is also more action/violence than horror.

Silent Hills 1-2 were decent horror though.

Resident Evil 4 was not bad, but most of the current-gen horror games are like action games, take a look at Dead Space 3 for example.

Slender and Amnesia are pretty good, though.

Noire and Red Dead without a doubt. But I really wanna see Agent!!!!!

Slender and Amensia are both decent. Whenever I start to play Slender at night, I always end up about 10 minutes later. Call me a horror amateur, but the pressure the game has on me is unbearable - I always have to quit. About Amnesia - I definitely want to praise it for its style, the atmosphere, the unexpectable moments and that creepy sense of boundary between what's real, what's not. Good game.

But Rockstar could beat that.

Noire for me! What i would love is to see "London Noire" and set the game around 1888, and have one of the main cases be trying to solve the Jack The Ripper murders. For anyone unfamiliar with Jack The Ripper, can read all about it HERE. As we all know there was a "GTA London" from Rockstar, and as i am fairly confident we will never see a HD GTA London, this would make a promising replacement.

The only downside would be traveling around the city, but I'm sure they could make it work.

Piggsy pls

Personally, I find Manhunt far creepier than games like Silent Hill or Resident evil.

A Red Dead prequel is a must, though.

R* need to have a go at a real horror game. I was thinking they could take inspiration from Supernatural and make it about two brothers, friends or whatever who travel across the country as "hunters" who deal with ghosts, ghouls, demons etc and like Supernatural some of them could be more familiar like Bloody Mary or the Hook Man.

I guess it would work better as a linear game with semi-open world aspects to it like searching for clues and such around the town you're visiting.

Sort of like Alan Wake meets LA Noire. It'd be a great co op game.

I would love to see a sequel or remake of Body Harvest. Aside from that, maybe a Midnight Club set in Seattle.

I'd surprised if they weren't working on a next gen Red Dead title right now to be honest.

However, i really want them to try their luck with the horror genre. They are great at nailing the atmosphere and soundtracks for their games. They could make one of the best horror games if they tried. They'd waste a ton of potential if they missed the chance to make their own horror franchise.

Rockstar San Diego is currently developing a next-gen open world game, presumably a new Red Dead (Revolution). Rockstar Toronto, which merged lately with Rockstar Vancouver (they're now both called simply Rockstar Toronto), is hiring new people for a next-gen "large scale" title. Could Rockstar North hand over their Agent to Rockstar Toronto? Probability.

Agent was transferred to Toronto/New england. Probably the next games from R* Toronto are Bully 2 and Agent. There are many versions..

I'm really hoping for another Bully game. Love the first one and I actually bought it again for the PC - just super disappointed it has no achievements on Steam.

Saying that, another RDR game would be fantastic too. Hell, thinking about it alot of you guys said a horror game and that would be pretty cool too.

Also, I wouldn't mind if they brought out a new type of The Warriors game. Maybe not a remake but something along the lines of that game would be sweet.

Other than having a next gen upgrade remake of Max Payne 1 & 2. It would probably have to be something like The Warriors. Or Thrasher: Skate and Destroy.

Red Dead would work too but the game had a lot of flaws and a sh*tty story. Hopefully after V is out we can then tell if it would be up to a good standard for them to do another one.

I want all that sluggish animation sh*te ironed the f*ck out before that.

I would like to see new Midnight Club. If that is not possible then new fighting game like The Warriors would be great.

No, they don´t need it and certainly (I think) they won´t.

We do need real drama, Miami, there's not enough of that in real life. We already have EA to tell stories for the fantasy newbies. I don´t want to see Rockstar making stupid sci fi games for misfits.

Zancudo; It´s a guess based on what I have read and heard lately. I´m quite sure about it, but it´s not a fact.

I would like a new GTA set in the swinging 60s, based in a re-imagined London and surrounding areas.

What we know right now is that , Rockstar North is developing Agent , Rockstar Toronto is developing a new IP for next generation , Rockstar San Diego is developing a sequel to one of the beloved franchises of Rockstar Games for a next generation release
