You read it, game.co.uk have just restocked the collectors edition for both 360 and PS3.

 

Thought I'd let those of you still interested in a copy that happened to run out of stock a few days ago know.

Normally I would have mine pre-ordered by now however I'm still wondering which edition to get. I think I could be content with the standard edition, but then it would be a nice treat to go all out.

You can get the collectors for PS3 & Xbox at Sainsburys Entertainment for £109, for those who are looking to save a couple of quid. Sorry for hijacking xD

£40.99 in GAME. Amazon have it for £39.99. You can also use sites like flubit to get it a bit cheaper but with that site you have to wait until things are in stock. I've no doubt Tescos and the like will do £5 off £35 again or something like that between now and September if you can wait. Currently they give you 500 club points(£5) so you could do it that way and get the game for £35. Grainger Games are not bad either. I keep looking on HotUKDeals so I'm sure a better offer will pop up.

I opted to get the standard version, but didn't get it from Game (as I did with GTA4) I went with a company called 2game.com and got it pre-ordered for £37.99. All the games I have bought from them came 2-3 days earlier than the official release so I'm putting a lot of trust and hope in them getting me GTA5 early too, then again I doubt my luck will be in this time.

It's worth noting that with the game being released on a Tuesday that the chance of getting it a day early is ever so slightly slimmer. Assuming they post it on a Friday, their last business day, it would get processed on Saturday, nothing on Sunday, and then sorted and shipped on the Monday arriving on the Tuesday. I suppose it all depends on where you live in relation to Game's depot and the Royal Mail sorting office.

Good point and I think this was the same for GTA4 too.

 

Having said that when I pre-ordered Aliens Colonial Marines (yeah I know) and I got my despatch notice on the Friday, received the game on Saturday, played the hell out of it over the weekend and Monday then traded it in on Tuesday, the same day it was due for release.

 

Not saying it will be the case with GTAV though as I suspect retailers will be trying their best to keep to as close to the release date as possible.

I waited out for the CE and was willing to pay <£120 for it but it just isn't worth the money. a box/hat and bag? no thanks. An extra 2 cars, a bike and online characters? No thanks. For an extra £80? No thanks.

 

I'm sticking with the standard edition. I honestly don't give a sh*t about the DLC. It's nothing exciting plus all the stuff is just more of what is in the game. Pretty sure we will have cars/weapons/tattoos/clothes in the standard version. I don't need the special ability to regen 25% faster. I will never do the stunt plane trials so why would I want "additional" ones? And we will be able to create our own online character which is fine with me I don't need to play as Niko tommy Claude or Cj.

 

My plan is to buy the standard edition on 17th September then buy the COMPLETE edition when it comes out with all the DLC (including stuff from the SE/CE). I did it for IV and I'll do it with V.
