GroundZero
So, today I was talking with one of my friends and I told him about getting into a sleep paralysis on purpose, how scary it is, etc... And now he wants to try it. The problem is, he has a kind of a problem with his heart, and I would like to know if there is any danger in him trying to get into a sleep paralysis... ryuclan
I wouldn't think so unless the experience scares him sh*tless.
TonyZimmzy
Pretty dangerous if you experience a nightmare during it. How realistic it is and how you don't realize you're actually asleep is messed up. I was about 13 or so when it happened. I was trying so hard to move, but my body wasn't (because I was asleep) and this looming presence was growing closer; I tried to scream and call out, but all sound was void no matter how hard I pushed. f*ckin terrifying. I had to try desperately to calm myself down and remind myself that there's no way this could be happening. I then truly woke up, and I was exhausted. Felt like I'd sprinted a mile. Was ill all day and missed school over it. Your friend would surely die... LOL.

But how do you do this on purpose? I think that attempting lucid dreaming makes it happen. As well as narcolepsy.
Space Cowboy
The problem is, he has a kind of a problem with his heart I wouldn't even think about trying sleep paralysis, if he had problems with heart. I don't really know much about sleep paralysis, but I assume that if he has some problems with heart, then there's a very high risk of heart attack. I would certainly not advise trying sleep paralysis.
