I will find a knife, turn off the HUD, find a cesna, fly into the mountains and crash into a dense forest/mountainous area. Then i'll proceed to find my way home without the map, with only a knife to fend off viscous wild animals.

Hopely we can turn off our HUD and radar.

Day one I'm not even going to complete the first mission. As soon as I can I will grab a bicycle make my way out of the city and then explore for hours. This is what I did with SA and will always remember how amazing it was soaking everything up at that slow pace. Probably take a photo at the top of the highest mountain of the bike that got me there.

Umm.. sorry to burst your bubble, but we will probably be forced to do the first mission like in IV..

Were we forced in IV? I remember driving from the cargo ship to Romans, couldn't I have just gone somewhere else instead?

Yes, but annoying Roman, the 'mission objective' writing at the bottom of the screen and the icons took of of the minimap.. I'd like to feel free when roaming around, but hey it's your choice smile.gif

For all of us planning to take a plane fly onto the mountains and turn off hud blah blah,

I wonder if we can find a parachute in game to jump out with? Or do you think we'll automatically have a parachute if we jump out mid-air?

What happened in gta IV when u jumped out mid-air, i cant seem to remember..

You fell to your death.

Good point, though - we might need a parachute as well.

This actually sounds great. While flying you'd have to be very high and keep looking up (so you can't see the surrounding environment) and then just randomly crash somewhere as you rapidly go down.

Exactly, i want the feeling of being completely lost in the mountains. Oh and try not to die in the crash landing....lol. That would kinda ruin it.

I'll probably do this with Trevor, as he will have early access to a plane most likely.

1- finish out the 'welcome to the game' missions.

2- seek out blimp or chopper to survey the whole region.

Or - find a sweet ride and race the perimeter.

Or - head to the Observatory.

Or - top mount Chiliad.

Or - investigate the Alamo Sea.

Or - see just how serious the cops can get.

Or- race the storm drain.

3- do something from number 2 that I haven't done yet.

4- go back to number 3.

Edit: nemesis (above) reminded me.

2 (or)- find the Grove!

I wanna see how much I can explore on a bike . I think it will be cool to ride slowly around as Michael and hear citizens reactions. I will ride till I find another bike....hopefully a better one...steal that and continue riding. I think ,I will keep the water in view, in case I get hassled by the man. I plan to jump the bike into the water @ some point as an escape maneuver and then start exploring that whole underwater thing. I am bursting at the seams waiting for this game.

Reading all the comments, this game is going to be overwhelmingly big. It'll probably take at least a month to get the map down. And a year to get the details down.

When I get the game, I'll

1. Finish the first mission.

2. Stay idle for 30 minutes while hesitating on what to do next.

3. Explore every single pixel of the map.

4. Finish the campaign.

After I've played the first few missions ( I believe that we will be forced to do a mission with each character )

After that I'm gonna jump online, look around for a top end superbike, organise a full island cruise from Santa Monica pier. See how many people turn up and then drive round the entire edge of the island with random people.

I'll start up the game and do the first mission. Then I'll switch between the characters and see how their daily lives are, then just go wherever the map takes me. smile.gif

I'm starting the new game, doing the tutorial (I really hate that sh*t) and then I will cruise, look for easter eggs maybe some glitches/bugs and have some fun and then a day later or so I will start the campaign.

Unlike a lot of you I don't really have a set destination I will be exploring first. I'm more looking forward to cruising through the streets and the hills, observing the physics and the dynamics, the improved graphics, overhauled sound effects and so on. As far as going places I'll just let the story take me through the map; I know we'll be playing as three protags and hence the map will feel more accessible, but I'll aim to leave a lot undiscovered until I progress further into the game.

I will press start go to map and enjoy the whole view, compare it to gtaforums map and go to that secrets or hidden places, far north far southeast in a paid taxi from los santos, listening country music
