Another city or Not?

Number 1 why do ppl say having the other cities would make this san Andreas 2? Its in the state the other cities exist in the universe, that's like saying gta 4 is gta 3 part 2 because its back in lc, more cities would be a good thing, number 2 I'm 99% sure there are no other major cities sd is a possibility, but that doesn't mean they could just flat out lie about the existence of the other cities, they could even lie about the map size and its actually bigger,LS was supposed to be bigger then LC buts it seems to be the same size, I hope the small towns aren't all hick towns, maybe a town like Fresno up north that has gang a activity, hope there is a variety in the countside

I haven't read through all 10 pages however I'll say this.

 

Will there be another Metropolis in the game? No, Los Santos will be the only Metropolis in the game. As far as other Cities (for this I'll use "looks like it could hold about 8,000 people" as a definition), then yeah I think they'll be some. That being said "City" doesn't automatically mean "Skyscrapers, Subway System & Airport".

I've been wanting a full fledged sandbox game based in only las vegas and thought I had one untill midway shut down which therefore shut down "this is vegas"... so R* when you do vice city next please do las vegas after.... or detroit. TBH, recently I have thought there may be a SLIGHT possibility of LV appearing, because:

-They are hiding the entire north end of the map

-There are numerous highways/railways running to this area

-The game centres around money. Las Vegas is money in city form.

-Los Santos is a 'decent size', but not big enough to warrant being the only city in this massive expanse.

 

And most importantly:

-They gave a valid reason for not including properties, then it turned out this was a lie and properties were in the game (they weren't added just because everyone moaned, believe me). They have given a 'valid reason' for not including multiple cities, but now we know that they lie to build hype.

RS showing the map of most of LS convinced that for me. LV and a ski resort please. Only cause I'm greedy.

It was not a lie from Rockstar.

 

It was the fans raging all over the net about no properties and all that sh*t for months, and then the delay happened, witch most likely is to polish AND add those features people complained about not being ingame.

 

They never lied. It was true that properties was never in-game.

fact is rockstar is hiding something, we all know it they said they don't wait to reveal too much and i believe it. idk if it's a big city but its possible especially since the map is so gigantic. i knwo there are going to be a bunch of small towns so at the very least we have that.

You couldn't have said it any better! I've recently read a reply that said "Los Santos is apart of the San Andreas state..", which is very true, but that person must have completely forgotten what Rockstar said in their press release statement, "...in a re-imaged Southern California." Which could only say that Rockstar re-build San Andreas to only feature one large and/or massive city with small towns and countryside!

There might be some kind medium sized town up north somewhere, but I really don't think there is another city. I want to believe there's another one, but I doubt it. Also, I agree with what Miami said. They have pretty much made it clear that it's LS only.

people are so delusional. every one of these stupid threads starts off with "rockstar said no properties and vehicle customization too so anythings possible" so stupid. los santos is the only city. everyone can believe whatever they want but there are gonna be a lot of disappointed people on game day. best to get over it now than build up high hopes and get crushed

Another city? No. I hope so but no, it won't be any other cities. I'm pretty sure we get some towns, perhaps 3-6 towns, plus a few smaller "villages/trailerparks".
