Sorry guys, so far 31 of you will be disappointed.. or at least a part of it. There will be a few small cities aka towns aka villages. But Los Santos is the only one "real" and big city.

Otherwise this is gonna be the biggest surprise/troll by R*

Atleast it will be a big surprise and better for us. Hope it's Las Venturas, rather then San Fierro.

Edit; Oh yeah, I voted yes.

I really can't wait for the day, if it ever comes, when people will stop using the ''they lied about properties'' line as proof for all the ridiculous ideas and even whole cities.

As much as I'd like it to be in there, and it would make a whole lot of sense to make LV in there, due to heists and all, it won't happen. There will only be LS and a bunch of smaller towns that are bigger than the ones in SA and probably will have interesting places in them. But no real CITY such as LV or SF will be in there.

And Rockstar confirmed that LS is the ''ONLY MAJOR CITY'' in there.

Voted NO. I think it's just Los Santos this time sorry to say. I hope Los Santos is the only city anyway.

I would never use it as 'proof' of another city, it's just example of how there is a chance, however small, that they lied about it.

TBH, recently I have thought there may be a SLIGHT possibility of LV appearing, because:

-They are hiding the entire north end of the map

-There are numerous highways/railways running to this area

-The game centres around money. Las Vegas is money in city form.

-Los Santos is a 'decent size', but not big enough to warrant being the only city in this massive expanse.

And most importantly:

-They gave a valid reason for not including properties, then it turned out this was a lie and properties were in the game (they weren't added just because everyone moaned, believe me). They have given a 'valid reason' for not including multiple cities, but now we know that they lie to build hype.

No, sorry but no... it's just too big to hide.

That looks similar to LS, but then why is such a run down airfield so close to it?

They did hide LA and San Fierro in San Andreas? No.

It would be so stupid to hide Las Venturas, why the hell they would want to do that, and when they did something like that?

Is it? There is one big-ass mountain north of the Alamo sea, and A LOT of unaccounted space beyond that, not to mention there are train tunnels leading north through this mountain.

That shows how familiar I am with American geography tounge.gif

That sucks though, as I can imagine something like Reno being included, but not LV, unfortunately.

It would make sense to have it, and especially since it isnt likely Rockstar will make a GTA exclusively set in such a place.

But hey, I am all for suprises, however unlikely they are.

They show LV a month before release, attention skyrockets, all eyes on V, biggest gaming news for at least a week or two. Boosts amount of potential buyers a lot. They did the same thing with the SA trailers, LV was a surprise.

And to the other guy above: it's not LS. Too far into the desert, completely different skyline compared to LS.

Also, that tower looking thing in the right of the pic, and I know this has a whole topic discussing it, doesn't look like any radio tower, and it certainly can't be the Vincent Thomas Bridge if that is LS to the left.

It's an electricity pylon. Look at how the tips bend outward. Compare it to other screenshots with pylons.

Wow, the poll results are quite depressing. Just when I thought people were beginning to smarten up. Many of you are still in denial after seeing how small LS is in the blueprint map, and so now you're trying to convince yourself that there's a second city. And about that screenshot, that's gotta be LS. The other towns throughout the map will be tiny like Trevor's town, so there can't be that many skyscrapers.

Rockstar clearly stated in plenty of articles saying that they felt as though they didn't replicate Los Angeles the right way in GTA: San Andreas. Which is why they're only including Los Santos as the major city in GTAV, to capture the vibe, environments, basically the overall feel of Los Angeles. Making two extra cities will distract them from making a perfect Los Angeles (Los Santos). Lets go back to Rockstar's first press released statement back in November of 2011, "... in a re-imagined, present day Southern California." Now I already know that a lot of people are tired of me and others going back to that one particular statement, but it's reality! Overall, Los Santos will be big and the countryside will be massive, so I'm not really worried because again, GTAV's overall map is the size of Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto IV && Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas... COMBINED! smile.gifbiggrin.gifinlove.gif

From the map we've seen of LS, it seems too small for my liking. Too much countryside it appears. I'm betting that the alamo sea is the size of LS alone, and that r* cheated a little (i dont doubt it'll be awesome, shut up tounge.gif )

If my estimation of the size of LS is right, i WANT another city. Do i think we'll get it? No. LS, country and a few towns - from desert towns to farming communities to maybe a rich style town, and a mountain town. that's what i'm expecting. Less city, more countryside, although i HOPE there's more city. i feel the country's a little pointless without another city; it leads no where. RDR had this - who ever ventured to the "race track" area after that one mission?

The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.

I remember all these statements too. Another statement they gave was that this game is there "largest and most ambitious" project to yet. Would it really be those things with just one major city? A fully detailed Liberty City was large and ambitious back in 08.

"Those skyscrapers are LS, because all other towns will be like Trevor's town". Crooked reasoning right there. You know NOTHING about other towns. Open your eyes and see that none of those skyscrapers appear in the LS skyline, not even a single one. I'm not going all "omgz itz LV SF VC LC all is in V", I'm just seeing that something major is out of place here. It certainly isn't LS, but what it is? I don't know, but judging from the position and skyline it might be LV.
