GTAMAN567
don't you think the way Michael was created was that Rockstar sat down and considered what might have had happened to Claude after GTA3. I mean there is too many similarities for it to be a coincidence. So he may not be Claude, but he came about because of Claude. Okay that is your personal opinion. But why make a whole thread about this ? I don't really see this as something of any significance at all. This is something very trivial and minor that is not really worthy of discussion, no one gives a sh*t. I made a thread about it because it was something I thought of and there was quite a lot of evidence to support it. I wanted to see what people thought of it... I have seen a lot stupider threads than mine that no one has questioned why they have posted.
GTAMAN567
Michael is most likely italian-american.... he would be closer to tommy who was italian as well, then claude who was just a regular WASP We are never given what nationality Claude is, but it is quite possible that he is Itslian-American as Salvatore Leone was going to make him a made man which is an honour only given to people who are 100% Italian-American. Habs
MICHAEL SPEAK = NOT CLAUDE. MICHAEL NAME IS MICHAEL = NOT CLAUDE. NO III ERA CHARACTERS = NOT CLAUDE.
GlitzyTomb
Generally when you go into witness protection they change your name. Wouldn't do much good if you kept using the same name.
GTAMAN567
MICHAEL SPEAK = NOT CLAUDE.MICHAEL NAME IS MICHAEL = NOT CLAUDE. NO III ERA CHARACTERS = NOT CLAUDE. Regarding Michael's ability to talk and Claude's supposed inability to talk, in GTASA Claude is only seen briefly twice not really giving him a chance to talk. And in GTA3 he is so focused on revenge he just wants to get the job done. Regarding the different names, Michael was in Witness Protection meaning he was probably given a new identity. And regarding the no 3era characters there could be just some scuttle hints leaving it up to the players interpretation.
IronZombie
MICHAEL SPEAK = NOT CLAUDE.MICHAEL NAME IS MICHAEL = NOT CLAUDE. NO III ERA CHARACTERS = NOT CLAUDE. Michael speaking proves nothing. Claude wasn't a mute, Rockstar just didn't have the ability to do very good voice acting back in the day. Michael's name is Michael because he is in the witness protection program. It would make no sense if he was Claude and he kept his name as Claude. As for III era characters, Rockstar can do whatever they want. Who are you to dictate that? They can change their minds if they want to. I'm not saying Michael is Claude, but your trollish objections do not prove anything.

Why can't more be like this, be positive and constructive even if they do not agree.

That's just stupid to say they couldn't do the acting properly. ON TOPIC: To the original poster: PLEASE STOP. You just keep repeating yourself. Here's how it is, Rockstar said Michael is a ''player who won''. Therefore, they are refering to any GTA character that ever existed. Though I do agree if we go fact-for-fact Michael looks the most like Claude. But he simply is not Claude and you need to accept that. He is, as previously mentioned, sort of a spiritual sequel to Claude as he's a generic GTA character who got it all and stopped ''playing'' and now realizes that's the only thing he's good at. sh*t, we can even pull a line between that and GTA's evolution as a game, as if they're saying ''OK, we got too serious as a game and we're good at freestyle carnage so let's go back''. But I won't go into that. I just wanted to say, your post does make sense, Michael is in many way an older Claude, but he is not THE Claude and that's where it should stop.
