initium
Behind the Alamo mountain what's there? There's roads going there, even train tracks, so there must quite a lot out there still. But so far, there's no fan made map yet that includes the area. The hikers from trailer 1 looking up at the mountain are, as I see it, on the north side of the Alamo mountain (and sea). Here you can see the size, looking as the poster is 3 times going round, it's about 5 or 6 times the amount of map that you see: http://i.imgur.com/CtK6OTW.png

kesta195
I've wondered this. They also intentionally didn't show the far north of the map during the freefall in the demo.

Bantri
San Fierro, Las Venturas & VICE CITY!!! No, it's because the mountains have snow at the tops. Which is something they don't want to reveal quite yet.

grandthefthoughto
i agree, it seems so weird that rockstar would reveal as much detail of the map of los santos, as early as they have, without having something pretty major we're yet to see... GTAKyle
Maybe there's a ski-resort or something like that on the north side of the summit, then a small city with an airport.
