OminousVoice Posted June 2, 2013 Share Posted June 2, 2013 I'm experiencing a consistent CTD during the mission Ransom where you have to photo the kidnapped Gracie. I enter the building but I hear no dialogue or muffled screaming and as soon as reach the top of the stairs there's a slight freeze and I'm booted back to the desktop with the standard "application has encountered an error" message. This happens each and every time. I've tried verifying the local files through Steam. The only files it seems to replace are modded ones. Speaking of mods I have one added car, beyond that my game is vanilla. I'm also using the in-game trainer. I tried uninstalling that but it made no difference. Miro Posted June 3, 2013 Share Posted June 3, 2013 I suggest you strongly to remove all mods and trainers you have installed in GTA IV and then also remove your game settings. In case that doesn't work, try to un-install and re-install the game. The GTA IV Patch 1.0.7.0 can also happen to fix random bugs like yours, so try it out!
