Grand Theft Savage
I'd accept it and still buy the game day 1, just like everyone else will. Edit: Also, my birthday is in October and I'll finally be old enough to buy that sh*t myself. So it's pretty much a win for me

johnny_zoo
It's nothing new Murad wtf. Anyway, how many f*cking years does it take for a company to develop a game? It's ridiculous how much it takes R* to do GTA V, sure it's a massive game but .. 5 years? Wat? Almost 6.. Be glad they're actually doing their best to give us the most fantastic experience ever that will last for years. What if R* didn't exist huh?!!! Wasn't development started in November 2009 with that Times Interview? So that would be 3 and a half years in total? Not 5 as many think.

I couldn't careless if R* didn't exist, or Ubisoft or EA, other companies are out there. If you think R* is the king then you're wrong. R* just lost my respect with day one DLCs and whatnot. Also, be glad that they're doing it? They're getting my money, I am getting their game, nothing more nothing less, the only thing I am thankful for will be the months that it will entertain me. I doubt V itself would last for "years" without MP. The only thing that kept me playing SA for 8 years is its MP (Not even developed by R*)

Andreas
Wasn't development started in November 2009 with that Times Interview? So that would be 3 and a half years in total? Not 5 as many think. Dan Houser stated in the interview with The Times back ten that they think about the city first, and then about characters. Rockstar founder Dan Houser has publicly talked about the next iteration in the GTA series for the first time. However, the exec has told The Times that he hasn’t even thought of a City to set the game in yet – let alone a plot.[...] “Within Rockstar, sometimes we feel that some of our games get singled out and held up as pariahs. All we want to do is tell a story with rounded characters. Like Goodfellas, which is a key film for us, our rounded characters happen to be criminals.” The paper reports that Houser will soon start work on GTA V, which will involve co-writing a script of around 1,000 pages – ten times as much as a feature film. “We'll think of a city first, then the characters,” he added. I love GTA for SP aswell, and MP is just a nice feature to make it even better. It's true that it isn't free, but hey, what is nowadays? And you wouldn't care if big gaming companies wouldn't exist? We might not have the best games we do have now. Look at EVE Online and whatnot, a server that can hold 2000 players and sh*t with battle space and etc. And no, I wouldn't care if ONE of these big gaming companies wouldn't exist, there are tons of gaming companies who are not known and do better games than EA and Ubisoft (Not R* but still, R* lost a lot of respect in my eyes), I also play GTA for SP, and then for MP, but what keeps the game going after SP? The MP. Murad96, the in-game content of CE is not called day one DLC? Are you kidding me? If it is not day one DLC then what is it? And don't call it "ADD-ON AND EXTRA CONTENT" because you don't add extra-contents to a game that is not even out yet.

DjDark
My guess is the delay they gave it at the end of last year, was because so many people got dissapointent when we couldn't purchase property. They've been getting a huge amount of criticism about that from us (the fanbase) thus having to make a choice to delay it and come up with ideas on how to implement it in the game, that sh*t takes time.. Since when they first announced it, they clearly stated it WASN'T going to have property to buy.

Kemo66
Remember they prolly picked that date totally at random to soften the blow of the delay in the first place. September 2013 seriously? Why didnt they just go for October 2013 it would be keeping with tradition to release in that month anyway plus an extra few weeks polish. I really doubt they picked this date randomly. I suspect other factors came in to play to cause them to aim for 17/09 - department heads may have a say in a future achievable release date, based on where they are with their particular part of the development and what they want to acheive, equally Take Two would have had input on this and what other titles would be releasing around that period (both theirs and more importantly any competition) - as someone else also said, you also wouldn't want to 'clash' with the next gen release where possible. You want as much of the media spotlight as you can get. Whilst we are all used to development houses delaying a game and not achieving the original release date specified, internally this is a headache they like to try and avoid, it has a cost implication to specify a date and then later move it out, to do it three times would be embarrassing and financially troublesome, although for R* / T2 this may not be the biggest issue! Something would need to be seriously wrong for the September date to be moved to October or later, I would be concerned if they moved it again and used the "more polish" excuse! Obviously an external issue / disaster could happen that could cause a delay (remember when Valve were hacked and someone pinched the HL2 code!) - or, something worse.. Capricornus
I honestly would not be surprised by a delay until October, and I would be more that fine with it. However, I think this date of September is the real deal; concrete and won't be changing.
