Flasher377
Just thinking...When you are wanted in the countryside it seems all too easy to escape. There is little traffic, you don't have to turn through streets. You can just floor it and get away. As long as you have a good car you should easily be able to lose the cops. Discuss. What do you guys think about this?

ddyoung
i think there will be less police in the countryside, only if you're near a town or village will the cops come to you.
RedDagger
Remember, they operate on line-of-sight. Countryside is open, city is not. The only way you're getting away is boatloads of speed and power to outrun all the police vehicles coming from all directions.

waikzguy8998
depending where you get your wanted level at it could depend. back in SA (and yeah i got bored and tried it today) if you were in one of the smaller towns like Palomino Creek, Ft Carson, etc. it took a lot of s*** to even attract 1 star, let alone multiple. plus the wanted level would go away pretty soon after u stop shooting. but if ur in LS, LV or SF, you bump into a cop car and you had a SWAT team after you I;m just hoping it's realistic like some of the demo viewers talked about. eg, you break into a car in GTA V when no ones around and nothing happens (as opposed to IV in which somehow the cops knew about it). however instead of the cops just "instinctively knowing, I liked the idea they mentioned of peds using their cell phones to call 911. could possibly even fire a couple of rounds off to "distract them", drop their cells, and maybe even get away

I have faith in R* because they always seem to create the perfect balance of realism with sandbox fun (except in IV). Eternal Moonshine
Just play San Andreas if you want to see how "easy" it is
Revolution-XW
If you know what you're doing, and you know how to play then yes it'll be easy to getaway anywhere. Otherwise, good luck this time around ...
J-B
The screenshots and trailers we've seen seem to show much more aggressive police helicopters this time around, I doubt they'll be easy to shake in the really open sight lines of the countryside. Grand Theft Savage
That obviously depends on the amount of stars you have. I'm betting once you reach 3, escaping won't be as simple as flooring it into the countryside. Police helicopter with a sniper will take your ass out. DarrinPA
i would also like to see for the first time in gta a police interceptor car. like a suped up mustang or camaro or corvette? What do you guys think about this? well i think it will different this time less roads turn, basically roads would be straight so cops vehicle will wait for you in next cross of roads. If you have played "NFS Undercover" you will easily extract my point. also this time GTA V have new feature to hide under wanted flash-zone. it would be very hard to escape
The New Blueguy
This made think of something I hope is in. I hope, depending on the size of the car, that you can stash a bicycle in the trunk. Imagine being in the middle of 5 star Manhunt only to realize your car is about to give from getting wrecked and shot up So after getting a good distance from the cops, you jump out, grab your mountain bike from the trunk and take off into the woods. Then from there you use stealth kills and silenced pistol to push towards your getaway.
Shadowfox_
To be honest, you're setting yourself up for an easy escape if you have a fast car. If you want to be harder try escaping on foot or on a bike
TargetTango
Depends on what they do with the police AI this time around. In GTA IV the game got away with spawning cop cars on every street corner since the police AI was frankly awful. I'm assuming they vastly improved the police AI so a cop car can keep up with you without crashing instantly, so hopefully they'll be good at some off-road driving, and I doubt your Infernus will be good on the dirt and grass so it won't exactly be "easy". jackass2009
Assuming I'm being chased by cars only, running off into the woods and jumping down the waterfall that turns into a river sounds like a plausible way to escape the police. I'd be f*cked if I was being chased by a helicopter or k-9 units, though.
whittle13
It was also ridiculously easy to escape cops in IV, even at 6 stars. You just get on the subway, works every time. I do think it will be harder to escape police in V tho because of the military and stuff.
