It's called assumptions. Go into the mapping thread and you'll see that every mountain we've seen has it's own name.. but that's because we've been labeling them ourselves. We haven't seen what's eating space in the North yet. I believe most of our best surprises will take place there, when we likely spot Mt. chilliad, somewhere up North. That mountain certainly looks dramatic but I don't think it looks any taller than anything else we've seen. Its just the point of view that footage was taken from makes it look like it rises so steeply. I think its in the same general area as the image below. The rocky ridges and outcrops to the top right of the plane look pretty similar. In the november previews, many previewers, such as gameinformer and IGN confirmed that mt chilliad will be making an apperance in GTA V. They said that when they landed, they saw a gurgling river going through the mountain range which we have seen quite a lot. saintmarks Posted June 2, 2013 Share Posted June 2, 2013 I don't think the mountins are gona be anything like SA mt chiliad(as in one individual mountain with a small base) instead R* have gave us mountain ranges to explore around in.each mountain range with a collection of peaks with one more impreesive and bigger than the rest these peaks will bear the names "mount chiliad" or "mount jossiah"( or whatever other names R* have come up with) just as Everest is the biggest peak in a large mountain range im guessing there will be range of mountains with the most impressive peak given the name mountain chiliad,and mt jossiah might be in a completely separate range Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Rockstar talk them through the demos whilst the press are watching. They obviously didn't just make up Mt Josiah; the R* employee(s) will have told them: this is Mt Josiah, and this is Mt Chiliad.
