please, don't troll this, this is a serious thread im going to make, i will admit that i have made tons of crappy threads, and as my reputation proceeds me, you will most likely mock this thread, just by looking at the name, however i tend to make this thread a serious thread

 

 

we have talked about the ending, the trio, if one of them will betray each other, if they will stay together and be friends, or if YOU get to choose who lives and who dies.

 

what do you guys think is going to happen,

franklin will live

michael will live

trevor will live

you choose

all will live, but not remain friends

Originally, I might have thought that one of them might die. But after Rockstar said that there will be specified activities for each character, I started to doubt it because if one dies, then that would mean that you could no longer do that activity. I don't think Rockstar would do that, but hey, you never know.

Michael and Trevor will die, Franklin starts to date Michaels daughter and walks on the beach wit her and chop. We see it in the first trailer.

I'd say it's a given that one of them are going to die. IMO it adds a lot to the story to let the main character die, or one of them in this case. We all remember RDR and it wasn't until the end I realized what a great story RDR had and that it all made sense. LA Noire's ending on the other hand didn't make all that sense. There wasn't like a red line through the game like in RDR so Cole's death made me go WTF.

 

I think our choices throughout the game will affect how it all ends. If there however is an ending letting me choose who lives and who dies, then I think I'd kill Franklin.

I really don't see why people believe this so strongly.

 

As I've said in many threads, I can't see them killing off one of the protagonists. There's too much work into all of them...special abilities, activities, personality, and probably storylines. Given that post-story free roam is such a big deal to the franchise, I think doing something to take away from it (killing a main character) would be a bad decision, and I think Rockstar knows that.

 

As far as RDR, I thought the ending was silly, but I'm biased because personally I just found his son annoying, both as a young kid in the story and after when you play as him. I actually didn't do much post-story single-player in RDR because I didn't like playing as Jack. Further, I can't see Rockstar doing a similar type of "character replacement" with GTA V. I didn't play LA Noire so I can't comment.

 

I'm admitting I'm purely speculating, based partly on my own biases and preferences. But I think killing off a main character would be a mistake.

And in both LA Noire and RDR, the endings made me go WTF. What a letdown in both cases. I don't like getting vested in the life of a protag over hundreds of hours of overcoming strife and challenge, just to have some goddamn scripted cutscene wipe them out. f*ck that sh*t.

Doing what they did in RDR is played out and there's no one suitable anyway. And we'd all hate it. LA Noire is not really like a GTA game where there's sandbox in the end, it was more of a linear story to be told and that's why it could end the way it did.

 

Every GTA since III (haven't finished earlier ones) has had a happy ending and then you really get to enjoy the free play, side activities and all that (yes even IV had a nice ending, he was rich and at peace (with the right choices)).

 

As for multiple endings, I believe they'll be like in IV, kid of different but it all boils down to a pretty much the same thing. Again, no protags will die, our choices will decide which side characters live or die.

I doubt anyone would die, would f*ck post completion free roam right up.

 

I think they will go their own ways, not because they have some fall out, but they just would after amassing so much, if they stay friends lording it up in their manors... the feds would be on their backs and come down on them fast.

 

In real life they would go to different places to live a fruitful life elsewhere, but for the sake of free roam i think they will just have a "parting ways" scene at the end.

They will all 3 still be in contact with each other and alive (imo). How the multiple endings will play out, no one knows yet, but I highly doubt a protag will die...

 

I think Michael will be single and happy (because his family looks annoying and I'll kill them all).

 

Franklin will be rich, successful and respected.

 

Trevor will continue to do whatever it is Trevor does...

Umm... no way. First part sort of makes sense but you're forgetting Franklin will become friends with them trough the game. Just look at Niko's friends list.

Yes, but how much difference will they make. Remember IV, you basically had two endings and all it did was decide which contact in you phone will be deleted. No other significance whatsoever.

or they all just stop talking each other, but then cross paths later on in life.....then Franklin gets into what Michael did when he was younger,hinting that after GTA V he'll be in Witness Protection too...(ballas and or families after him now? Armenians after him? cartel after him?) his ambition can f*ck up anything and his life.

 

but i like your idea/thoguht cuz it'll make since if they show the Ending in Trailer 1,Middle of game in Trailer 2,and Beginning in The 3 seperate cahracter trailers.

I hope we can decide to kill a member of trio, let them live or kill two of them. I also hope the outcomes of heists effect the story. I don't want one set path. It would be cool if you could fail a heist and that would effect the story.

You know, it was interesting and a shock the first time I saw a movie that killed off the main guy. Kind of a wow moment. These days though its more like, eh, I bet they're gonna die at the end and I'm getting tired of it. My roomate swears up and down that (The Last of Us) Joel will die. I hope not, just based on the fact that it seems predictable.

As for the ending, I have a hard time believing Micheal will stop. I think his victory must be with himself and his family. He already has money he's just looking for the thrill.

So far all we know about Trevor is, he's a drug dealer. Likes: Messages, howling at the moon, torture, arson, and general mayham. Dislikes: Trains, and The Lost. I really don't see him growing as a character. So stays the same I guess.

As for Franklyn, does the whole gang thing, and takes out Samuel L Jackson. Just kidding but I'm trying to figure out his story that doesn't just follow CJs. With any story a character should have problems and they get resolved. So I guess maybe he brings the gangs together and forms a new gang of his own. Becomes a Kingpin of sorts.

Or maybe they all die. RD style.

Greenrock, just a tip - if you want to be taken more seriously, make less threads. Make less threads with polls. Join in existing conversations and don't always feel you need to make a new thread when you could just contribute to a healthy discussion that's already underway.

I seem to think that Franklin or Michael will be the bad guy, depending who you decide to do the mission as, but I think that Franklin will try to take over in some way, or stop Michael, I'm not sure how to explain it...

I'm gonna say all three live but one of them betrays the other 2, something like running off with the money from the final heist and you will decide which of the three will become a very rich man. After the main story ends two will remain friends while the other one is isolated.

I think they all have to live ; I doubt R* would use the same kill-off-the-protagonist card they've used in their past 2 games, and it wouldn't work in a game as heavily focused on after-story free roam, and there's the aforementioned problem as to what happens with the character's special activities after they die, which would limit the fun of the game after the story, which R* wouldn't do.

 

BUT I think that Franklin will let the ambition get the better of him, he'll move past Michael and Trevor as he progresses and he'll have no need for them anymore, and we'll have to play out his greed, ambition and power and watch it corrupt him as he become the 'big cheese' he always wanted to be, we'll have to play as him as he f*cks Trevor and Michael over and it'll be a new story never done before in GTA and it'll be awesome and it'll also allow us to play as all 3 afterwards.
