ChocoFrosty Posted June 1, 2013 Share Posted June 1, 2013 I posted this in the Michael [trailer] analysis thread, but I thought I'd share it with more people: Did anyone notice the glass elevator shafts on the side of this building? The glass which forms the shafts is clear and you can see moving objects inside of them, which I presume to be elevators. (The elevators themselves look like they have basic, opaque textures on them and will probably not be enterable.) You can follow the light-colored texture on one of the elevators as it moves up: And here is another elevator visibly moving upwards: The building is based on the real-life Westin Bonaventure Hotel. It looks to me like the GTA V version encases the path of these exterior elevators in glass. Thoughts? Here is an album of the screenshots. stranger44 Posted June 1, 2013 Share Posted June 1, 2013 Cool. Kinda reminds me of the window-cleaner lift in GTA 4, which unsurprisingly was buggy as hell. Why do so many games fail at making working elevators? L4D2 is a perfect example. The physics always end up going all freaking weird any time you use a lift. It'd be pretty cool if we could use them, but I doubt we can. I can't think of a way that R* could make them useable without making it very awkward unless they were only able to move between two floors. Like used to get from bottom of the building to the top floor. Or maybe the building is just sealed off and we can only watch from outside.
