Not really sure how much of a performance impact it would have, but would anyone here want a 3D option in GTA5? I havn't played too many games in 3D, but I think even extra screen depth would make the city feel more immersive.

 

 

...just a thought.

Because 3D is crap. It's a waste of money and is just a gimmick. It will be dead soon and I am surprised it has lasted as long as it has.

Most people dislike 3D for a number of reasons... the problem is the people that like 3D think everybody else likes / loves 3D..

 

We don't...

 

Forgot to mention, it is also a waste of development time, when it could be spent on something worthwhile

We will still have to wait some years until there are most games in 3D. Most likely GTA won't be one of the first games for that.

Doubt it... 3D Games and Movies are in decline, with more and more people opting for the "2D" versions.

It is possible. But I doubt R* would do this since they have never released games in 3D.

 

I think the majority of Naughty Dog games are available in 3D, R* is just a different developer.

A lot of new HDTVs have 2D TO 3D conversion where you can convert any normal viewing into 3D. Some brands suck at this 2d to 3d (panasonic) and some like LG are good at this. I currently have a 10 year old SONY CRT tounge.gif

I wouldn't mind native support. My display does have 2D->3D conversion but side-by-side or top-bottom support from the game would make the effect much better. Gives me a headache over longer periods of gaming though
