    • Highly detailed all the way from head to toe, similar to Saints Row 3

    • Moderately detailed, clothes head to toe, facial presets, etc..

    • Low detail, clothing presets, facial presets, similar to GTA IV

    • Little to no detail, full on character presets.

In my opinion a character avatar being in GTA V online multiplayer should be unique, and customized to an individual taste and discretion, for this to work there should be a good deal of freedom and detail available for the player. I know it's early to discuss such an idea, but I want it to be in the minds of the GTA community to ponder upon. Any thoughts?

I just hope to hell you can wear a hat & a mask...so many games where a gas mask counts as a hat, or a hoody can't be worn with a hat, or a mustache can't be seperate from a beard, dumb sh*t like that

Ain't that the truth, that has pissed me off on several games.

for me SR2 had the best character customization, you could really do as little or as much as you wanted to, and you could defiantly be unique (unlike SR3, which seemed quite cut down).

I never played SR 2 but I did play SR 3, I want the customization to go beyond that.

I'd like quite a bit, but with moderation. Head hair and clothes would be enough for me. Choosing colors for clothes would be nice, but i don't expect it. The customization in SR3 was pretty good i admit, but in that game you made your own person.

Paper Mario

I don't need plastic surgery or anything. Just clothing from top to toe, plus tattoos but these are already in. I don't mind jewelry and piercings.. Maybe fun accessories?

So yeah..

I made my guy a scary clown in SR 3 and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I'd probably like to see everything you've unlocked in the game to be available in MP for you to choose from, we defiantly need ways of defining who we are, I saw way too many guys wearing beanies and that damn jacket I liked in IV Multiplayer.

I'd also like to see some 'unique' costumes been available to unlock in the game. They'd be extremely hard to get and if theres cheats in the game you CAN'T use them to get these costumes. That way in the multiplayer we'd know who the big dogs were and who the bluffers are.

I'd want to have really detailed customization, SR2 had better than SR3 I think, and if GTA V has even more detailed my brains gonna explode... But I'm fine with GTA IVx10. So only preset faces/skin tones (but I wish there's enough to make characters unique) and a MUST is to be able to choose clothes on feet, legs, chest (maybe even t-shirts AND jackets could be choses seperately) hands, face (here could be multiple things too, like glasses and a doctor mask etc.) and head.

Also something I'd like GTAO to have is being able to choose body type. Even as basic as skinny, normal and fat.

Choosing personality could be awesome (like SR). How our characters walk, how they taunt, what they sound (what they speak/shout when taunting) and maybe even how they shoot guns and hold them etc.

Those are just some ideas, but I think I will be happy with whatever they have in stores for us, unless it's like RDR... I hated that... In online multiplayer with no story I wanna make my own character and not choose from few miners or sherifs...

I want huge customization and for it be SP = MP.

Good feedback so far.. I can see that the majority of you all want clothing to all separate for ex. Hat, Glasses, Mask, Shirt, Jacket, Gloves, Wrist Accessories, Pants, Shoes, and Tattoos. I personally think that's the way it should be, so the GTAO will not have a large group of the same character walking around, makes the online bland, and sometimes you kill the wrong guy cause he looked just like some other guy..

I hope you can mix jackets, ties and shirts, and use a hat, masks and glasses at the same time. Anything else is welcome but not necessary. Even this isn't THAT necessary.

Max Payne 3 had a good way of doing things, except I'd prefer one character to customize instead of the six gang character presets like in Max Payne 3. Although, if you could also customize your character for missions (like "Bomb da Base II" where you took control of a random angry Russian), assuming they even switch you, I would also appreciate that.
