Blazevski12
GTA IV has the best driving physics in any game. Better then any racing game.

Bonfy
I don't know guys, a lot of you say that once you get used to IV's driving it gets really fun, but I honestly still can't get past its flaws. What I hate the most is the poor grip and the suspensions. Suspensions are horrible, by doing the slightest turn your car gets inclined by 15-20 degrees. As for the grip, it always felt to me as I was driving on the snow. It's still tedious to me really.
GTAVTheHeat
midnight club la they were going really fast, maybe too fast for the scaling of the cities. while I did like the need for speed racing, I would rather want a mix between forza and gta VI. However that would look. And as far as sleeping dogs goes, I only liked the skyline anyways lol. hated the turning, liked the drifting and didnt like how it looked or felt when passing or switching lanes on the freeway. kurvenflo
GTA IV has the best driving physics in any game. Better then any racing game. Hm, yeah, I feel the same. Most racing games focus on the handling at high speeds, giving it a rather arcade feel. The only exceptions are simulations like Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo. A good example of how not to do it, is MCLA. Though being an open world game, the car handling at low speeds is horrible. Saints Row on the other hand is only enjoyable at walking speed. Mainly because it's the only pace, that gives you a feel of the weight of the car. So, overall, I like very much, what R* did with the RAGE engine and car handling in IV. I'm just a little worried about the statement, that cars handle more like in a racing game this time. This doen't necessarily mean a good thing. It would be great if they headed more towards the simulation territory; if you ask me that driving experience never gets old, because it can be fairly unpredictable and also keep you engaged, though IV did that too. If they took IV's handling, toned down the body roll and simulated realistic grip levels then it would be perfect I think. When I play Gran Turismo 5 it's near impossible to flip your car over and the cars don't experience inelastic collisions, which still makes no sense to me, so I'm definitely not saying draw fully on simulator's driving physics. All I want is some physics where I can do stuff like;

RisingRedWolf
I loved the way the handling was in IV, it was so rewarding once you got the hang of how the cars felt and what you could pull off in them. It honestly makes it so hard to go back to open world games where the driving felt way too arcadey and dumbed down (Sleeping Dogs was a great example of this). I really hope they keep the physics based driving in and apply it to all vehicles, because this is one of the many things that just makes me want to keep coming back to just cruise around in GTA. From the sounds of things it seems they are still going in this direction (Thank goodness) even if the cars are slightly more grippy. But honestly, it would be great if the car customization included different tyre types for different situations (Offroad tires for offroad, Slick tires for grip on road, or drift tyres for those who want handling similar to IV)
Afrojacked
As much as I hate posting on a Sunday this just occurred to me, having just watched the Formula 1. I'm hoping we get a greater variety of surfaces (snow on mountains, maybe mud for those hardcore off-roaders) but also some truly magnificent roads that provide great scenery but also a real test of the connection between a driver and their machine. Red Rock Scenic Road Oberalp Pass Transfagarasan These are the kind of drives that I know will extend the lifetime of the game's driving experience for me at least. Having places where I could test the average tuner, the SUV or that special grand tourer. I reall hope we get anything like this ! these type of roads keep me busy for hours in games. just like red rock in forza horizon !
Geeteeaifive
Honestly, how many people on here have driven a car. Take a 90 Degree turn going 30 mph without slowing down and see if your car stays parallel to the ground. Next, try to take that turn going 50 mph, and see what happens. Theres a little thing called countersteering that comes in useful in GTA IV (and real life if going around corners fast). Real cars don't go around corners at 115mph without letting off the accelerator while jumping curbs and taking out light posts like they do in racing games.
