rampage08
Grid 2 driving :3 The first time i played Grid 2, i kinda wish V will be like Grid 2, imo its the perfect balance between realistic and arcade, its easy to do but hard to master.
simonp92
GTA IV has the best car-handling I've ever experienced, Mafia II following close after. I was extremely dissapointed with L.A Noire's handling, but that game wasn't using the RAGE engine, so it's understandable.
MARKUS.
Enjoyed driving in Sleeping Dogs Come again? You enjoyed driving in Sleeping Dogs?! It was like you were driving a freaking RC toy. That was awful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't drive like that... I mean on the left side of the road, I know that in China and in UK people drive like that but for me it is just... weird.
zakace
I prefer SA car handling vs IV... San Andreas handling is terrible, if they went back to that it would completely ruin the cruises through the countryside and everything else.
K.Walters
I didn`t like the GTA IV handling, becuase it was such an understear, I mean seriously, I turn the car and the wheels ir completely turned, but the car keeps going straight ( a bit overexaggerated). So I would be happy if the handling was a bit improved GTA IV handling so the car would respond nice and smooth without any understears and with the correct upgrades to the suspension, tires, engine etc you could make some sweet drift car. I would like to be able to drift like in Juiced HIN, it was easy and fun. But I wouldn`t complain with the way they will do it, because I will adapt to it. I just hope they don`t screw it up. I`m looking forward to this game mainly because of cars, because I love driving in GTA games, not that all I do is drive, but most of the time I drive around, shoot some stuff, drive some more, shoot some more etc.
BlademanX
GTA 4 not only understeer rubbish brakes as well, it needs tweaking, suspension is as bad as a car from the 80's roll roll roll They just need to stiffen up the suspension, fix the grip, the sense of speed, let cars go faster, and fix the understeer
JB94
As much as I hate posting on a Sunday this just occurred to me, having just watched the Formula 1. I'm hoping we get a greater variety of surfaces (snow on mountains, maybe mud for those hardcore off-roaders) but also some truly magnificent roads that provide great scenery but also a real test of the connection between a driver and their machine. Red Rock Scenic Road Oberalp Pass Transfagarasan These are the kind of drives that I know will extend the lifetime of the game's driving experience for me at least. Having places where I could test the average tuner, the SUV or that special grand tourer.

twistedweather
Driving experience will be a blast, and with car customization it will rise to a new lvl of awesomeness imo, IV was the most fun/challenging I have had yet in a game cant wait to tackle those roads like JBanton posted (pics posted couple replies up) there will be some epic wipeouts on those moutain roads
gsbadreligion
anything is better than gta IV driving Anything? So you would put handling from Midnight Club in GTA V? Hey to each his own, but this would really ruin the driving for me and it would be a return to the PS2 era GTA games, we can't have that. midnight club la is the best racing game i've ever played, a mix between that and iv is perfection. Gurjot95
As much as I would like realistic mechanism, I also want it to be fun at the same time. Hopefully Rockstar have planned something to keep balance of both.
DaRkL3AD3R
I agree, after GTA IV other open world driving mechanics SUCKED BALLS HARDreally hard. GTA IV driving was a new step forward for me, sure it had it's issues, but pls no watch dogs/sleeping dogs/just cause 2 driving anymore, I'm getting sick of it Truth. After playing GTA 4 ALL other open world driving games just feel shallow and horrible in terms of quality. It's all about that physics engine. It's brilliantly modeled. I still look at the damage model for cars in GTA 4 and think it's incredible. I sincerely hope that GTA 5's driving physics is only a tweak to what 4 did, and not a total departure. I will be extremely sad and disappointed if it leans far more towards arcade than what 4 has
kj2022
I don't think I've ever gotten understeer in IV, I just break before the corners and roll through them before flooring it. The driving on IV was pure bliss once you got used to it, no other open world games come anywhere close. Yeah, the cars lean a bit too much, but it's still an amazing experience. Galaxyass
I just hope the cars won't be so floaty and they fix the friction and weight. It's pretty stupid when sometimes you hit something and are about to have an epic roll over crash but the car just f*cking slides like 50 meters on it's side or roof... Clay33
NFS: High Stakes driving would be great! 14 years old game but still the best in terms of driving.
Afrojacked
The guys at rockstar already said a while ago that driving will be like GTA 4 but improved ! so don't worry guys it won't be arcade like SR3 although what i would prefer is forza horizon. as a petrolhead knowing what driving with speed is like in real life that come's close to it. but we will never experience the rush of driving 190 km/h in a toyota starlet 1.3..... PHOENIXZERO
They're going to iron out the issues GTA IV's driving had along with some tweaks. It's not going to be as if they're going back to last generation's driving physics.
Fail_At_GTA
IVs driving wasn't perfect, but it was slightly improved in TBoGT and imo, its perfect now. I guess gripping the road a little bit better is a good thing, although I love flipping over 2-3 times when turning extremely fast.

I guess gripping the road a little bit better is a good thing, although I love flipping over 2-3 times when turning extremely fast. How exactly was it 'improved' in EFLC? The handling.dat file that has everything related to vehicle handling is exactly the same as the one in IV.

DarrenC1888
I loved GTA IV driving, I loved the weight driving an average car felt heavy like a normal car in real life and driving a supercar felt light and fast. I think they hit the nail on the head with it, hopefully it doesn't change too much.
Kill Frenzy!
If GTA V was the same as GTA IV I would still be happy. Won't happen. V will obviously be better, with that I mean updated and in an other way you can say more realistic and with the damage psycics the same.

Mig10
I absolutely loved IV driving, even if they got all the suspensions settings wrong but it was fun, that said I'd like more realism and especially better gear changes and more speed, unfortunately more speed shouldn't be possible because of the hardware limitations but maybe a blur effect could help the machine.
