iceman4555
As we know horses haven't been confirmed, but.. "Whilst out in the countryside you might... ...farmers, farmyard workers and barnyard animals around farms." -USA Today ..that's is a supposed valid source, BARNYARD ANIMALS include horses, plus rockstar took a great deal of effort developing the horse in RDR all the way from mechanics and the way they look, I would't think they wouldn't put them in GTAV, but if they are in GTAV I would like to ride them. Horses are perfect for exploring mountainous areas, wilderness, and countryside. What do guys think? Do you think horses will make it in GTAV, if so, do you think we will be able to ride them? I don't think it would make the greatest deal of sense to not have them on there, I personally live in a rural area, plenty of horses.

I also thought of riding a horse in the Los Santos area, quite comical, but the horses would be relatively far from the city area, and it would take more than needed effort to ride one to the city. d3ex2
FACT: on a horse it will take 80 minutes to travel around the entire land area on the map.

d3ex2
FACT: on a horse it will take 80 minutes to travel around the entire land area on the map. Source? Where's your evidence? My own testing. It takes 23 minutes to get around Redemptions map. Multiply by 3.5 and you get 80.5 minutes. Of course there are some variables: horse speed, route, terrain. Give or take a few minutes. Miss Darko
I certainly hope we can ride them, but there's really no evidence pointing one way or the other. So I'll just have to wait and see if pressing triangle when I'm next to a horse will put my character on its back.

blakeney
For a while since we had wildlife confirmed, i thought horses will 100% be in, it's just a copy'n'paste job from RDR right? Then realised there is no cars in RDR, so there is a whole new load of complex animation & physics code needed to make it workable (unless they decided to make the horse just push out the way), so I'm not so sure anymore. It would be cool to have them in the countryside.

True, but R* can handle the task of making the physics code, animation effect, and ragdoll effects of the horses, I mean they already have the majority of what they need from RDR, I would think they just need to implement when they get hit by another vehicle. HudS
Why wouldn't it be horses in GTA V? They allready got the horse animations and the horse skins. All they need to do is some animations to the player character and a bit of coding. I belive that they can use some of the same code that they used in RDR for the horses. GTA 360
There are horse in GTA IV too. And do you think the horses in V will need food and water? Seriously though, why the hell not? But I want purchasable stables too, so you can store your horses.
e1999KrayzieBone
I would enjoy stealing a horse from some farm and racing it on the track. A true rags to riches story. And if it loses? Shoot it. With an AK.

Food and water for your horse would be highly unlikely, but say you purchase a property in Grapeseed with stables or addable stable or whatever R* will provide in the game the chance of providing for your horse goes up, but GTA V is not a sim, so I say no to caring for the horse. I think it's far more likely to be able to store your horse in a stable though.
rjmthe2nd
Trevor calls up Michael & Franklin for an IMPORTANTE Heist...the 2 come over, trevor shows them 3 horses and persuades them to rob a low time Country bank with him lol YES!!
RoadRunner71
I'm not really interested in horses unless they can fly. GTA360, you were on mushrooms when you played GTA IV?
jokerJG
Lordy I hope so!!! Judging by the use of other game stuff from R* titles (Midnight Club, Max Payne), I'd bet $ on horses being included.
gtaman533
It is a definite on the horses being in the game, they used Red Dead for the animals and eco system so it could be introduced into GTA this time around. We will see a lot of animals throughout this whole map because there are 10 different environments.

Paralysic
I think that riding horses is reserved RDR. Would kill the Red Dead franchise if they brough everything over to GTAV.
zombie elvis
I think that riding horses is reserved RDR. Would kill the Red Dead franchise if they brough everything over to GTAV. If they do have ridable horses I doubt there would be any breaking of wild horses or whistling for your horse, so it wouldn't be the same at all. But I can't see riding a horse around on the freeway working at all...
