Hey yo,

I ask me wheter my PC can run GTA V fluently, something over 30 FPS?!

What do you think? sarcasm.gif

My PC's Specifications:

Processor: Intel Core i3 530 (@2x 2.93 GhZ)

Graphics: ATI/AMD Radeon HD 5750 (1GB)

RAM: 6GB

What I can say is that Max Payne 3 runs with 35-40 FPS (sometimes 45-50) on High to Very High

Settings icon14.gif . Now I think/hope that I can play Grand Theft Auto V on Mid to High Setting

in spite of the huge World and Render Distance.

Yes, you will be able to run the game on med-high settings(no AA of course)

Edit.: I'd say Medium settings

of course no Anti-Aliasing!! biggrin.gif But what you said is that what I think, too. mid to High and maybe something very high!!

But actually the game is epic and worth enough to play it on the lowest settings.

There's no specs yet, and no announcement from R* this thread is worthless.

Hard to say without knowing the specifications of the game don't you think? whatsthat.gif

This....

I'd say you should be in good shape if you are able to run IV on your PC, but that's just a guess.

Probably low settings man, realistically. That graphics chip is pretty slow.

I think your pc looks fine. Between medium and high settings I would say... Maybe even better. Even though there are no specs yet. . .

I think that PC will hold at least another 2 year for gaming. wink.gif

HD 5750 is a medium range card, don't see why he couldn't run it on medium settings. People with 8800 or so should be worried though. Max Payne 3 ran on 8600gt, I don't think GTAV's system reqs will be too high since they improved and optimized the engine for PC.

I got a Dell Inspiron Laptop I purchased for my photography editing & work etc etc about 6 months ago..

I havent gamed on pc for ages but I feel like moving back from PS3.

Intel ® Core TM I5-3210M CPU @2.50GHz 2.50GHz

RAM 6.00GB

Windows 8 64 Bit

AMD Radeon HD7730M

Intel ® HD Graphics 4000

I know we dont know the exact specs but you think that would be good enough to run stuff like GTA V or Battlefield 4 or should I just buy a gaming pc at a later date. I am not particularly bothered about ultra high settings. icon14.gif

It is good, but the thing is: It is a laptop.

Laptops are not made for gaming. You can probably play on it, but your laptop will get hot in a short time, will crash more frequently, etc.

If its Alienware Laptop then it will handle GTAV just fine. Wish they made those gaming PC'S just less garish looking.

Ah I got ya.. Yeah I mean I was just enquiring since I have it readily available.. was never purchased with gaming in mind.

I really dont fancy the next gen consoles.. and the PS3 is losing interest for me. Gonna have to find a decent PC..

Yeah we should all know the answer to this without even knowing the required specs.

I was gonna spend around £800 gbp .. the only alienware one at that price is 14 inches .. bit small for my liking.

Kinda hard to tell don't you think?

i3 dual core isn't gonna be too great. Should have a i5 quad core.

Your GPU is quite slow. It may run Max Payne 3 well but MP3 and GTA are two totally different games.

6GB RAM. some of that will be used by the OS. So you're left with 4/5GB. Upgrade to at least 8GB if you can then you will have 6/7GB for gaming.

Also depends what the game it self is like. If it's a console port then it might not run too well even if you have a better system. If it's a true PC version then the best you can hope for is low settings I'd say.

Consider upgrading your PC. at least a i5 quad core CPU, a better GPU and as much RAM as you can get.

nice workstation but not suitable for gaming, you need a better graphics card. but those dont fit in a laptop

I have yet to see a game using more than 5GB ram on my machine. tounge.gif

Where did I say it would use 5GB ram? I just said that's all the game would have access to.

Unused RAM is wasted RAM. The more there is the better. By all means use 6GB but if you can get another 2GB+ then get it. Keep in mind that GTA V isn't even out yet for PC so who knows what the specifications are. Better have too much than too little.

OP's PC can do medium at most, but low would probably be more safe to say. It boggles my mind that people even mention high settings, this is a dual core rig with an HD5750... OP, you should be fine with a 4 core CPU and maybe a better GPU, but the GPU should run V great on medium so not really needed. The CPU is the part that needs changing to have V run smooth.
