How Los Angeles surgeons cope in the gang war zone

An article published today on the BBC news website detailing the challenges faced by Los Angeles surgeons who have to deal with an average of 2,500 gunshot wounds per year. I realise that this is not directly about GTA V, but it seemed too relevant to just shove in the general news section.

This has nothing to do with Grand Theft Auto V.

How is that relevant? Because there are gangs in GTA and because it is based in Los Angeles?

By that logic...here is another one

Its about cars, there are cars in GTA!

Well, I'd say that modern-day LA gang warfare is quite relevant to GTA V.

Not at all.

Not really related to GTA V, however still an interesting read. Thanks OP!

Not really relevant, but I guess a nice depiction of how violent LA is.

Good read OP, I liked this part - He has been here since 1992 and overseen major changes.

"One of the main reasons which made a huge difference in outcomes is the creation of trauma centres. In severe trauma, if you go to a trauma centre the chances of survival increase by about 25%," he says.

25% damage threshold in GTAV as opposed to San Andreas.
