gtamann Posted May 31, 2013 Share Posted May 31, 2013 (edited) Hi guys, so in the serveral gta games we have heard about Carcer City, if not you should read this page under the section Carcer City references in Grand Theft Auto Gta Wiki Now in gta V what do you think Rockstar games have planned to do ? we have seen allot of talking about it on the radio stations,random peds talking about it,etc Do you think this town/city will be in the game ? ( They are saying that its located in Liberty City but it hasnt been revealed in gta 4) In gta san andreas the city was spotted: In the first cutscene at the airport, the arrivals board shows one flight incoming from Carcer City, though it is quite hard to see. Maybe we can fly to this place ? since the game is located back in LS What do you think ? I will also link this video ( Radio station taken from gta sa) Maybe we will have some winter ? epicluca Posted May 31, 2013 Share Posted May 31, 2013 (edited) Liberty City was originally planned to be Liberty State containing Liberty City, The Carraways and Carcer City. They decided against it because they wanted to focus on the story not the map size, going by this I doubt Carcer will be in V because it would somewhat require flying to Liberty City therefore loading the whole "Liberty State" map, I doubt this will happen. Personally, I think they should include it in a future installment but redevelop it as a Chicago-inspired city. I know they have established it as being on the East Coast a few times but they could change it to a Midwest location (while still keeping abandoned areas from Manhunt). I've been dreaming of such a GTA game since that mission in GTA SA where you needed to fly to Liberty City. East Coast and Midwestern high-crime cities with abandoned areas like Philadelphia, Cleveland, Detroit, Gary and Camden all come to mind. What Rockstar is possibly doing to us is making us "imagine" Carcer City in our heads, rather than them making it themselves. Because think about it, not many heists and big-level crimes happen in run down rust belt cities like what Carcer's based on, just gangbanging and hood rat crimes. Mods, on the other hand... Also, stop fighting as to what city Carcer City is based on. It's just based on a generic Great Lakes/Allegheny city, like how III-era Liberty City was based on a generic East Coast city.
